  • Takes up too much of my storage
    by N8DoWhatZ on April 26, 2021 at 5:52 pm

Come on, this crappy 6 FPS app takes up like 20 mb of my data.

  • No able to open
by jshsfsv on March 21, 2021 at 3:28 pm

I’m not able to open the application

  • Rough viewing controls
    by NeuroStudent82847 on January 3, 2021 at 10:18 pm

The camera perspective does not respond smoothly to movements in the touch input. The camera often resets to a different orientation instead of rotating in the direction of the touch input.

by AlexA Keiser on November 16, 2020 at 7:09 pm

Overall, I really like this app! I had no problems figuring out how to operate it and it was very easy to use. I enjoyed this app because it helped me with my psychology app and my anatomy classes! This app was filled with useful information about the brain and a fun way to learn/memorize the information.

  • It was good
by alfcoach on November 6, 2020 at 6:43 pm

Not working on iPhone XR after 14.2 update

  • Love it!
    by damned_poet on February 13, 2020 at 11:50 pm

I wish I had had this when I was a student! I downloaded it 5 minutes ago and already recommending it to my students. Best 99 cents ever spent!

  • not the best-phs
by Mr. Stroup on September 23, 2019 at 4:37 am

I had to get this for my psychology class when we modeled a brain out of play dough. It wasn’t the easiest to use

  • Only landscape mode
by BDMactual on September 18, 2019 at 8:44 pm

I love this so much I swear by it and tell everyone to open it.... but it’s a nightmare to have this app open on split screen on the iPad pros. Makes it frustrating to have to keep opening and closing the app for reference.

  • Great for neuropsychology. Do Not Upgrade!
by MsBlondiePirate on April 28, 2019 at 5:12 am

Absolutely FANTASTIC app for graduate students in psychology, clinical psychology, and neuroscience! BEST BRAIN APP. I absolutely love it. It’s great for studying for the psychology GRE also. BUT, DO NOT UPGRADE. The upgrade was terrible. I was happy to pay for the upgrade, and I had to delete it and reinstall the old version. All my neuropsych friends said and did the same thing: upgraded then had to downgrade. App designers, why? 🙁 You have a giant world of grad psychology student who would gladly give you their money if the paid version was actually better. Stick with the basic version, peoples, and you will be very happy!!

  • Very difficult to exit out of
    by Kate060 on April 11, 2019 at 8:33 pm

I love this app - although it’s just not very user friendly (or at least for me). I can never exit out of it - I have the new iPhone and there is not home button. So you swipe up to exit apps but this app does not allow you to close it that way. It’s very frustrating so I have to delete it.

  • Pretty basic
by Dranorter on September 12, 2018 at 6:04 pm

The way it switches between brain areas (page turning animation) makes it hard to really compare location. The app will highlight 29 different brain areas — you switch between them by clicking on the list entry, and you can’t navigate by clicking directly on the brain area in the 3D view. The ordering of the brain areas in the list isn’t particularly intuitive (it’s alphabetical). 29 brain areas is not enough. Where are V1, V2, V3, etc.? Where’s the fusiform gyrus? Neuroscience is a field where we don’t know what the correct objects to be discussing really are. The app ought to distinguish between “neuroarchitechtonic regions” and things like sulcus/gyrus based regions (don’t know the right term). And for didactic purposes, a drawing of the motor homonculus and sensory homonculus would be fun.

  • Update ASAP
by MrJohnnyLeo on August 20, 2018 at 11:21 pm

Good app, but needs to update. The UI is old and does not work well with the new iPad and also it needs to update the information in every brain structure.

  • Pineal gland

Why is the pineal gland missing it is even mentioned

  • Professor
by drneurosci on June 29, 2018 at 11:32 pm

I have successfully used the app in neuroscience courses as a supplemental aide. It is very helpful to students. Today I was informed that an upgrade was available for a .99. Certainly, I selected the upgrade immediately. I have not spent a great deal of time today with the app. Perhaps I am confusing this app with another resource—IT IS after all, Summer term! Here is my concern, although the visuals and the 3 D rotations are —as always— excellent- along with showing sub systems in relation to major brain components, all very good, with clear taxonomy-I seem to be missing the brief information on the functions of the varied parts of the brain. Please clarify , am I associating this feature and the information I expected to see with another resource entirely or is there a navigational step that I am missing on the upgrade ? Thank you kindly!

  • Where is the back button?
by cezargiosan on June 11, 2018 at 5:48 pm

Good app, nice 3D rendering. I think the app UI could be substantially improved by a simple "back" button. Now, once you move to another section (e.g., by following a link) there is no way to quickly get back to the previous one. Instead you have to go to the main screen, and start again from there. And that time adds up quickly.

    by Language15 on February 22, 2018 at 2:23 pm

It would be perfect if there was a place to quiz us over different parts of the brain and their function.

  • Excellent and fun
by Amararata on November 14, 2016 at 3:47 pm

    Great app.

  • Overall not bad
    by DocBB10 on November 8, 2016 at 9:21 am

Includes a lot of information and helps with visual placement of structures. Would be better if they had option for axial and coronal views and if they could label cranial nerves.

This app is very helpful when learning the different parts of the brain. It will show you where everything is located and give you a brief description of what it does.

  • Love it
    by TaylorMcardleis11andbuff on September 8, 2016 at 2:28 pm

    Use it for psych. 10/10

  • Very informative, easy to use!
    by Woot8386482 on July 27, 2016 at 7:38 pm

I'm a student learning about the nervous system for Science Olympiad, and let me tell you, this is a fantastic tool for getting to know the brain. It has information about the different parts of the brain and has options for labels. It's also pretty easy to learn how to use. The only issue is that the images are a bit low resolution, but that's not even that bad, and the pro version has better resolution. Overall, awesome learning app.

  • Good
by SerenaLinhT on March 3, 2016 at 4:06 am

    The best. Helpful app

  • Great app for neuroscience students!
    by Blake'ss on January 28, 2016 at 6:34 pm

I'm taking a neuroscience class and this app makes the brain and its parts easy to learn. It's mostly on simple terms and the visuals really help! The only criticism I have is it can be hard to press certain labels of the brain without accidentally flipping to the next page. But it's still a must have app!

  • So helpful!
    by M!!d[-_-]b!!M on January 26, 2016 at 9:47 pm

This app is perfect for the visual learner and so easy to work! If you're looking to learn about the brain, this app is a great place to start.

  • Academic and medical
    by Gregor4life on January 6, 2016 at 2:42 pm

This app is excellent for medical students and neuroscience majors wanting to get an intro to functional neuroanatomy in an easy to visualize way. Not only does the app come with interesting examples of case studies correlated to each part of the brain, but it also has links to relevant, scientific articles for each area. Amazing resource. Thank you.

  • Good basic app

  • Oh my god! This was worth the dollar!
    by kake$ on September 10, 2015 at 5:18 pm

I am a about to get my bachelors in psychology and I wish I had this as a freshmen. Looking at this makes mapping brain structures a breeze. If I ever go on to teach this will be coming with me. I know I will have to show my professors this amazing find.

  • You need a brain for school

This was a fantastic resource for learning the brain and it is exactly what I needed for my school project👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Phenomenal experience
by Watevz on June 25, 2015 at 5:26 am

Will be upgrading With this app, learning the brain was an enjoyable experience and certainly easier than reading in the textbook

  • FIVE STARS
    by Cait.thegreat on June 7, 2015 at 6:28 am

Truly an amazing app. I was inspired to be a neurologist because of this app!

  • Awesome
    by AmyNel22 on May 21, 2015 at 5:28 am

I love this app, the only thing I can complain about is when I try to open the Labels, it crashes. I'd love to see more in-depth descriptions of the interior structure, but great study aid for my degree!

  • The 3D Brain makes my diagram look pathetic
by Andreaishh on March 13, 2015 at 7:50 am

I have learned so much about the brain through this app that when times were difficult for me to remember some terms made it seem a waste of a time. This app is sufficient for any type of majors and I would know since being a psychology major made this app quite intriguing. I will use this app more often now to understand a little more where impulses are beginning and cannot wait to learn more in detail.

  • It is not upgrade, but downgrade!
by Retriever Shepherd on February 5, 2015 at 2:13 am

It is not worth of upgrading!

  • Great informative app- but...
by OhWoAh on December 3, 2014 at 11:10 am

This app works wonders for those wishing to absorb knowledge and further increase their arsenal of psychology info- buuut, on the flipside i was expecting much better graphics- and a far smoother transition when moving the 3D models- it didnt really feel like the actual graphics of the models had changed when i spent money to upgrade. If that can be improved with an update- then that would be awesome! Great app otherwise!

  • REMARKABLE
by Strongflower on October 31, 2014 at 12:25 pm

This application is FANTASTIC! I have been using this app for 4 years and I still think it is the best app out there! It gets better with each update! I require my students to download and use for class!

  • Simple and sweet
by JustNAct on October 29, 2014 at 8:19 pm

I'm a 35 year old grad student taking an intro course in neuroscience. Within five minutes, after flipping the 3D model around and reading the descriptions, I finally made some connections about the hypothalamus that I've never been able to make after all these years staring at boring illustrations in textbooks. I got more excited about learning this stuff so I figure that's worth five stars at least. The notes are very good too and thank god written in language I can understand. So thank you for a great app.

  • revision of previous review
by mkpdp on September 7, 2014 at 12:41 am

l got help from support, reloaded it three times, spent a lot of time on it, it works now. Haven't used it much yet,, appears to have a lot more information than original, the graphics not quite as good. It's a good app, but if I had known, think I would've stuck with the original.

  • Nice app
    by parent2001 on June 2, 2014 at 9:36 am

We have used 3D Brain many times with kids. Very informative. Nice 3D views.

  • Great app but needs a tweak
    by Merdol144 on May 22, 2014 at 12:42 am

Great app but the Whole Brain Structure doesn't appear since I upgraded. Please fix. Other than that, it's an awesome app an VERY helpful!

  • Circle of Willis
by Njcwgirl on May 1, 2014 at 8:48 am

Love to show the diagram of the brain to my stoke patient families. They are able to visualize the brain much more clearer. Big drawback where are the main blood vessels in the brain like the circle of Willis??!! Would give this app 5 stars if it was included.

  • Good but can't quiz self
    by Leigh421 on March 8, 2014 at 11:05 am

This app would seriously improve if you could go into quiz mode and not have all the names and labels pop up all over the place. Having them on both the top and bottom of the screen makes it hard to try and test one's knowledge.

  • Updgrade is a Downgrade
by ThreeTop on March 1, 2014 at 4:03 am

What happened? This was one of the first brain anatomy apps - simple but the best in its simplicity. The upgrade does not function the same as the original, and the graphics appear worse.

  • AP psych Test
by ThaneAndrew on February 27, 2014 at 6:05 pm

This was literally better than the AP psych textbook and the slides my teacher showed.

  • Very disappointed
by Anna Panzarino on February 26, 2014 at 3:34 am

I'm very unhappy with the upgrade, I want to know how I can get my old version back.

  • Thanks
