  • This game brings me back to my childhood, there’s just one thing…
by Wëîrd Wãîfû on July 6, 2022 at 8:17 am

Let me start off by saying I’m so happy I found this game as I used to play it when I was a kid on my Nintendo DS in like 2006. Anyways, I’m so happy with how this newer version incorporates a good majority of the original. My only wish is that we could decorate our omelets and cakes and save our creations in an album within the game like we could in the original DS version. That feature made it feel a little more personal, like I could really connect with the game more with my own creations (and possibly have our albums public if we want so others can see what we’ve made). Besides that one thing I’m so happy with this game, thank you developers for bringing this back!

  • Ads ads ads!!
by rednixhound on July 3, 2022 at 12:15 am

The ads are kind of obnoxious and pop up on every single step of a recipe. Super annoying.

  • such a fun game <3
    by Adrianna💞 on July 2, 2022 at 6:23 am

literally my favorite game at the moment, its so fun and it teaches skills you can actually learn in real life, its awesome ♥️

  • A General Classic
by Ivanretama on July 2, 2022 at 12:33 am

If you were alive when It was quite popular on Nintendo DS, you’d know this game is universally fun amongst all ages. I used to play this game on my cousins Nintendo DS quite frequently, passing the Nintendo around. If I’m honest, revisiting this classic years later after production was worth it. The game itself is a easy to understand with easy directions and functions built in. This game utilizes well with long car rides, boredom, extended waits, etc. (P.S. I am unsure if it’s no service friendly)

I love cooking games so I asked my Tt and she said to get this game best game I’ve ever played in my life!!!

  • I miss old cooking mama
    by Mangaguitar96 on July 1, 2022 at 12:14 am

I’ll be honest, I’m a bit disappointed with this game. I didn’t enjoy being immediately bombarded with ads the moment I started playing, nor did I enjoy being bombarded with the idea of watching ads when I was playing one cooking level. I played cooking mama as a kid and I loved it, but I’ll be honest, this one really didn’t meet the old games in my personal opinion.

  • Good game but…
by Valerie Volcano on June 30, 2022 at 6:25 pm

I really like this game but the reason I only gave it four stars is because it’s kind of confusing and the recipes… to start, what’s the point of the market? Why do you get ‘points’ instaed of coins? Plus the ‘mama’s dojo’ and ‘test your skill ‘ are kind of weird. I kinda get the other places (restaurant, fishing, ranch) but they are still kind of confusing in my opinion - Ig I don’t know why they added them in the first place. Why not just stick with the restaurant? Also, I wish the actual game (aka the cooking process) came with some more detailed instructions/help button. Most of them u understand but sometimes I get really confused. However, my biggest issue is that most of the recipes are limited. You only get a handful of free recipes to do(maybe 14) and the rest you have to buy with real money (I like this game, but no way am I spending real money for it). There is mini cooking, but you need ingredients and you are limited to only 6 a day… like why can’t I just buy some recipes with coins?? Other than that, the cooking is pretty fun and there aren’t to many ads. It is fun for a few days but quickly gets boring. Can you pls make more recipes available or let me buy them for coins?? Thank you for reading my really long review 😅

  • Bug
by Upper Cable on June 30, 2022 at 12:25 am

I love this game so much and it is very fun and relaxing for me. I can play this game and spend more time on it than K thought I did. But I don’t know if it’s just me but when I was making hotdogs I found a bug when I was cutting the sausages. I accidentally cut it too soon but when I did the sausages started flipping everywhere and would not go back to normal. Also when my time ran out I was still stuck there making it so I had to restart the game.

  • This is a good game!
    by W H Y DOES THIS GAME E X I S T on June 29, 2022 at 2:54 pm

This game is good I know that it says are you under 13 or over it probably says that because if your over 13 you might get adult ads but if not you don’t get it and plus ads don’t appear often in the game sure it isn’t like the original it’s just that they are testing with new things , for example you can get rid of the ads they made it 3D Because if it was the same it would be boring. Stop being sensitive at the fact it’s new things just stop deal with it the cooking mama franchise is evolving , games are evolving to.

  • Targeting children
    by 22737838287263738393 on June 28, 2022 at 4:09 am

The game asks if your 13 or younger I said I was younger and the first thing I see is a bunch of things that costs money, so kids will tap on it not knowing that you buying things with real money, this is an classic move to get children to give them money

  • Great.

  • Super confusing
by tylloh on June 24, 2022 at 11:57 pm

So much going on and very little explanation. Lots of different places to go but it’s not clear what you’re supposed to be doing. Not like the more cooking focused, straightforward DS versions. Also lots of ad pop ups.

  • Amazing game!
    by •*•Sammy•*• on June 24, 2022 at 1:39 am

I’ve been having this game for like 4 years and it’s been so fun! Me and my sister always played it while we were on road trips and we went on road trips a lot back then. It’s perfect for people who have anxiety and stress it takes your mind off things and helps you relax and it’s a perfect game for learning how to cook in real life it shows all the ingredients so that kind of helps. Also this is a fun game as well because it has its own unique style and this game represents my childhood. This game has been with me and my sisters for a long time. I forgot about it for a while but I was looking threw some family photos and one of the photos were me playing cooking mama so I was like “oh I forgot all about that game I’ll play it again just for fun” and I’m glad I did because it’s amazing! I really request you get this game it’s amazing!

  • The best

  • Here are some Pros and Cons about this app
    by 😕😕😆😆😆😆💖💖💖💖💖 on June 21, 2022 at 7:00 pm

First, I would like to say that I just started this app and I just wanted to test it out. Here are some Pros. I love the 3D look of the app. I also love how you can feed the food to your customers. Now here are some Cons. So when I was making the food this button popped up and asked me if I wanted to watch an add for more food or coins. I hated that. Also, I don’t like how you know what you are making. Like in the first Cooking Mama app you just chose ingredients and you made something. That’s all bye!

  • no guaranteed gift
by Do I really have to!?! on June 21, 2022 at 5:17 am

i bought a recipe pack for the guaranteed gift and it didn’t give it to me I’ve bought em three recipe packs, I’ve never gotten the guaranteed gift. I only bought them so I could get the gift and change the colors of certain things. :/👎

  • Overwhelming
by VERASALAZARISGAY on June 21, 2022 at 2:37 am

It’s great so far loving it, however once you open it, it blasts you with 18 different pop ups and you’re stuck on what to do because of flashing announcements and 5 arrows pointing to 5 different things. It would be great if there was a small mini game tutorial so you wouldn’t be bombarded with multiple pop ups at once. It gets very overwhelming

  • Way better then Apple Arcade's version.
by Jadenfire on June 21, 2022 at 2:22 am

There's so much to cook in app purchases remove ads & in a way act like DLC the packs are fairly priced, theres mini games lots of them, lots to do like fishing, farming, ranching, your own restaurant It runs offline, has so many themes it's impressive, The best cooking mama game on the AppStore.

  • Scam over plays ads and removes items
    by sunok0429 on June 20, 2022 at 11:21 am

Items will randomly disappear from the app and there’s ads playing every three minutes

    by Alessandra711 on June 20, 2022 at 4:22 am

Insane amount of ads unless you buy coins. And on top of it you’re extremely limited with time and it’s not the same as when i used to play on the Nintendo ds

  • The game is good but why so many ads
    by tntn3rd on June 19, 2022 at 5:05 pm

Okay first off it is like the original cooking mama on ds but some things were added and changed which I have no problem with but my problem starts right when you open the game you get 10 pop ups half wanting you to watch a ad or buy something which hey I can understand a ad or two but now and there but you get 5+ when you open it and 1 after each stage which are option-able but still and you get another 2 or three after each dish

  • Janky and Disappointing
by IrsoEon on June 19, 2022 at 4:02 am

I’ve loved cooking mama games since i was young. However this one has not lived up to the Title. With janky controls that don't want to work half the time, it makes it nigh impossible to do certain tasks. Of course unless you wish to watch a 30 second ad and redo said thing 5 times until you get it perfect or start all over. However the trickiest tasks are in the middle of the recipes or at the end, making you need to continue or risk wasting your time. The waiting time actions are also very disappointing and half the time I don’t understand their purposes of being in the game. The UI is clogged full of things and recipes must be bought. While I have no issue about item purchases, the cost for recipes that’ll only take you 1-3 minutes to complete is ludicrous. I would rather but an old DS copy and get my money’s worth there.

  • Good game

Dawg i started crying as I opened the app😹😭

  • Too many inappropriate ads

It’s one giant commercial of useless things. Not recommended for kids.

Holy cow there are so many in game ads and flashy buttons to try to get you to spend money in-game.

  • Trash
by abdtxdgh on June 17, 2022 at 3:54 am

Seriously, this is a stupidest game I have ever seen. Starting from the graphics (primitive) to mechanics (also primitive), sounds, constant ads everywhere, visual noise, you name it. I spent 5 minutes and started to hate it so much. I don’t recommend it at all.

by Black Goth Rose on June 15, 2022 at 5:15 am

The ios white bar at the bottom of the phone to switch between apps bothers in some mini games. It doesn’t let you have a full perfect score just because when im sliding something inside the fridge or oven it just gets out of the game. ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY WITH THE IOS BAR IN THE WAY. Pls fix i love CookingMama!!! Thanks

  • My Thoughts on this Cooking Game
by coloniel sanders on June 15, 2022 at 4:22 am

I am highly disappointed, that this game doesnt have 5 stars. This game is excellent and got me to love cooking, I remember I would play hours with my cousin, racing each other over who could cook a cake faster. And the little “Even better than Mama” when you get a gold medal. This game is incredibly encouraging and sweet(pun intended). In conclusion, this is one of the best games to ever exist in my opinion.

  • Sensory Overload
by DrunkFobHistory on June 11, 2022 at 10:18 pm

Never played the console version of Cooking Mama, but I can’t imagine it’s even a fraction as overwhelming as this. It feels like there’s a new pop up to look at every second. I made it maybe halfway through a recipe before giving up.

  • Worse knock off of CM: Cook Off
by HearTheRobins on June 8, 2022 at 11:25 pm

If I’m not mistaken, most of the assets in the game are recycled from Cooking Mama: Cook Off, for the Wii- which I really wouldn’t mind, I love the look of it. But almost all of the mini games are from Cook Off too, but with worse control and less precision. And many of the recipes too. You may think, ‘oh, it’s free, I understand’, but here’s the kicker: there are only 6 free recipes. Total. The rest are NOT unlockable ingame, they are paid. The total for all the recipes is about $50USD. This is essentially Cook Off but worse, and for 3x the price. It’s not awful if you don’t mind repetition, or if you’re willing to spend so much- but if you’re able to get your hands on a Wii and Cook Off, do that instead! You’ll enjoy Cook Off loads more.

    by SQU33B on May 13, 2022 at 11:38 pm

I just recently got the game and I LOVE it, BUT I wish there was more time to play in the restaurant and fishing. Do you get more time as you progress in the game or is it capped at only 15 minutes a DAY? 😟

literally my childhood bro i love this game so much mama <3 ily ur so good at cooking

  • I want to say that it’s good, I really do
by Leopardys on May 3, 2022 at 9:55 pm

To start off, the actual traditional “cooking mama” gameplay is good, and I’m excited to have it on mobile! That part isn’t the issue. There’s just too much visual input—like there’s too much going on in the background, and there’s too many buttons on the screen at a time, and the menus/animations move a little too fast. And that’s not a good thing to have when it’s already a very fun, saturated kids game to begin with. It’s just overstimulating when you’re not even doing the actual gameplay parts, if that makes sense. It just makes it hard to enjoy the game, i cant do it for more than one recipe at a time because it’s just SO much visually. Maybe just tone down the background a little in the very least. Other than that it’s great! I would like to see this fixed so I can actually continue to play the game without getting overwhelmed.

    Ilove this game since 2017?

  • Honestly, the best Cooking Mama since the original
by Elranzer on May 3, 2022 at 4:02 am

I’ve played every Cooking Mama game since the original on Nintendo DS, as they came out (I’m an 80s kid so I was in college for the DS). The first Cooking Mama was the best. The sequels and spin-offs added too much clutter like the shopping minigames. The Crafting Mama, Gardening Mama and Baby Mama (yes, it’s real, on the Wii) were never as good as the Cooking main series. Cut to now. Cooking Mama for iOS is very old. There was an older version that all customers were updated. The current version is now a “best of” for the recipes for Cooking Mama 1-5. The touchscreen minigames are all based on the DS/3DS games and not the crappy Wii or Switch games. No microtransactions or “gems” (limited energy gameplay). Instead, they sell recipe packs. I have bought all of them, which results in a game larger than any of the Cooking Mama 1-5 games. There are some extra non-cooking minigames but you can ignore them. One of them is amusingly a copy of “Cookie Clicker” (idle game) in the form of a grocery store. And most importantly the music from the original Cooking Mama (well, most of it) is in the iOS game.

by dbcbhdchndfjndfjndfjndfjnnfj on April 29, 2022 at 10:34 am

This game is so much fun, reminds me of when you could play it in the 2000s but there’s something I don’t like about this. The father. You make a meal and your mother congratulates you if it’s good then you have the option to serve it to your dad. What did he do? Nothing. He sat there and we provided. I don’t like that at all. I’m not a servant.

  • it’s alright
    by pham00002 on April 25, 2022 at 3:42 am

when i was little i used to play cooking mama on my nintendo, so it was quite nostalgic for me to play the game now. But upon opening the game it was just very flashy and must i say very overwhelming because it pops up every single notification it can give to you every time you do anything. I get that some people need some pointers to the game but it’s just too much for me. Overall i love the concept and everything of the game but i honestly only played a for a few minutes because of how annoying the notifications for everytime i got something or anything at all was. I only played it for the nostalgic feeling but other than that, i wouldn’t play it again unless that was changed.
