    It’s crap. Simple. I got the reader at Walmart and it would not work. I took it back for a new one. It would not work. It’s crap. Do not buy this. Did I mention that it’s crap. No wonderWalmart sells it.

    I’ve been waiting months for a software update to fix the card reader. Takes FOREVER for pictures to load. You would think, for a $50 card reader, they’d have it figured out by now……

    This is the worst card reader I’ve ever used. Fails constantly to down load my pictures to my phone. Paid too much money for this junk!

    I have the SIM card checker that I use for my cameras. You have to have the app to look at them so I downloaded the app. It takes the pictures like a hour to load and if you like me your already moved on checking over cameras. This thing is complete junk. I will be going back to Walmart to buy the SIM card adaptor that plugs right into the iPhone.

    Problem loading pics just to even see them when they did finally pop up more then half didn’t load up not going to purchase subscription when it doesn’t work even on the trial stage serious waste of time and money for me

    Horrible, no customer support at all! Tried emailing numerous times & calling, absolutely no response. Does not recognize SD card, kept giving me modem failure. A fake camera would have been so much better.

    I bought the SIM card reader to check pictures in the field. This thing does not even work 90% of the time. The times it does work you have to plug in, unplug and plug back in the card reader 10-15 times or more before it will read your card. And when it does read your card you may only see every 10th picture if your lucky. The pictures in between will not load. DO NOT BUY!!!! Unless you like throwing money away

    My SD card has not worked from day 1, every time you plug the reader into your it won’t show pictures on the app and the app shuts off every 30 seconds

    I bought a Hunt Smart SD card reader and of course you have to download the app. It is by far one of the worst apps I’ve ever used and full of technical glitches. It won’t load 1/2 the pictures, loads half of the remaining as a blank grey screen. Worst of all the pictures (or supposed to be pictures) are considered downloaded and erased from your SD card. Lost forever!

    Problems off the start, bought 3 cameras to get the 9 months free, yea ok no explanation as to receive those free 9 months, 1 of the three cameras want even link to the cellular service or take pics and save on the sd card, you guys need to call MoultrieMobile or spy point and get with them on the cellular cameras cause y’all cameras and app are garbage! I’m very unpleased considering the amount of money I spent not just on cameras but on the $15 a month service as well and one cameras want even link to cellular service

    The concept is great. Worked awesome for a little over a week then camera stopped transmitting. $120 a year for unlimited photos and $48 a year for the app! Each camera has to have its own cell plan! That can get a little expensive!

    09/08/21 Second year in a row WGI doesn’t have their crap together. Camera stopped taking pictures also would not send to app when it did take a few. WGI please get your ducks in a row before putting out more garbage. iPhone X. Need the app for the camera to work, but app doesn’t connect to camera, I’ve returned the first camera and tried a new one, same thing. Keep getting “camera API not ready” message. I’ve contacted support and they had no explanation except to try on another device, well my other device is the android WGI tablet, is not even compatible on their own products and it cannot be downloaded on it. Update 08/17/20: Another update to app with no fix. Camera still not connecting to app.

    Everything everyone is saying is true. The camera wont activate. Even tho it have full 4 bars in the location im at. No matter how many times i try to activate the camera it wont work. Call customer service for the last 5 days no one exists to call you back or pick up the phone. We’ve all been hoaxed.

    I had issues from day 1 after setting up my camera’s. Both camera’s did not transmit any pictures for the first 3 days. I checked the camera’s and 1 would not turn on at all & the other was on but no pics on the card. I walked in front of the camera and it never transmitted the picture. I sent Huntsmart an email to explain the problem and they replied with a ticket to resolve the problem. Haven’t heard from them since! I have called them for 6 days straight and the response is that there are no available service reps to assist. I left a message to call me but NO RESPONSE. Not to mention I was supposed to receive 6 months free of cellular service per their advertisement on the box but when you setup the camera, there were no instructions on how to obtain the free service.

    Worked with it for an hour or so. Followed instructions, watched youtube videos and sitting less than 8 feet from my wifi router, blue tooth is on and phone is on….. it will not download the firmware. I expected better from the name brand.

    Not only is the quality of the app janky but the pictures simply don’t load, it’s marketed as a wifi-free as card app. No photos load and frankly it’s a big wast of money

    If I could do a no star I would. Got a camera that’s not even connectable to the app, although the box said it’s connectable. Tried setting up the camera and turns out it’s not recognized on the app, not even with serial number and yes it’s a wild game hunt smart camera.

    This camera software has always been trial and error and try again before it finally allowed the camera to successfully connect. Now with the newest update the camera won’t even connect at all which makes it less useful than a brick. Don’t waste you time or money buying Huntsmart cameras.

    I’ve had the Insite Air from Wildgame Innovations for almost a year now and at first after setting it up on the app, I placed in on one of my smaller food plots and it worked excellent at first. It was about 75 yards from the one stand I hunted in and I could see it from where I was. It was nice because I would have enough signal to connect from it on the app and see what was captured the nights before or from a week ago. I just recently put it back out after I waited for it to get warmer to put out all of my trail cameras and I was planning on putting the Insite Air in the same spot and on the app, it informed me that I had to do the software update on it and after downloading it, there’s still a red exclamation point on the trail cam and it doesn’t tell you what the problem is at all. The signal isn’t the problem on my property so I have no issues being connected to it and I use rechargeable energizer batteries so the battery life isn’t the problem either. I’m really frustrated and disappointed with Wildgame Innovations because for how much you spend on the cameras whether it’s the actual Insite Cell or the Air, your brand raves about them and how they work but they clearly have issues...

    I setup two cameras on my two acres. Great cellular area. I paid for cellular and storage. I never received any photos from the cameras when they were on the other side of my property. I only received them when the cameras were setup on my patio, taking pictures of my outdoor cats, which isn’t why I wanted these cameras. Even when they did work every time I changed batteries, which is probably once per week, the camera would stop working and I would need to take an extra hour sitting and trying to get them to work again. Not worth the time.

    So I received one for Christmas. Took forever to set the thing up. It comes with absolutely no directions whatsoever. Finally, got it to work. However, I can’t move more than about 20 feet away from it. I can actually see the camera where it is and what it’s doing from where I’m sitting. So why would I need the camera? All the thing does all day is search for the device. Then when it finally does find it, if you move greater than 25 feet the little red wheel spins and searches for the camera. Again while the thing is just in your sight from where you’re sitting. My advice is do not purchase this product.

    I mean if I have a cellular connection why can’t I stream live feed. Is not a friendly set up or app I got pictures for a bit then it continuously breaks sending pics over cellular.None of the other functions in app work yet thought would go live by hunting season. Not worth the money IMO. Probably only use this for this year and get an extender to Bluetooth link from now on a bit farther out from camera.

    Very dissatisfied, I absolutely would not recommend this app or the cell cameras. Canceled my cell service on both cameras as they wouldn’t stay connected and send photos. Seems like they had good ideas for the app too but none of them are available and they keep pushing the date back that they will be available.

    I purchased 4 of these cameras, after spending several hours on the phone with wild game support over the course of 5 days my excitement of getting these in the woods quickly turned into a huge hassle, even after buying several sets of lithium aa battery that Onlybwould last at best 5-6 days in woods. Also WiFi would not range over 40’, dusk and dawn hours showed very poor pics and most pics would trigger way to quickly , I would only get a deer ear for example in pit tire frame even with sesitivity all way down. Also called back wildgame because temp and time was set to Florida time zone and was told to wait for a update from wildgame 10 days which never came, it’s been 29 days and I will be returning these cameras, hopefully wildgame will field test these next time before putting them on shelf for consumers.

    This is by far the worst trail camera on the market. Sometimes the app syncs and sometimes it does not. Usually takes 3 tries before it links up with the camera. Firmware never installed properly and I had to take the camera back and get a refund. Terrible product.

    I purchased 2 of the new (just came out) cell version of these cams- can’t get it to work with app. Called customer service- only get a recorded answering service with no call back. I don’t have time to waste- taking both cameras back.

    I bought 6 Insite trail cameras and not ONE worked! I will never again spend a penny on anything Wildgame Innovations again! Customer service don’t have a clue about the camera they feed you the same line over and over delete camera off app and re add it then delete app and re download app, then they want you to send cameras back and once they get them they will mail you new cameras and don’t know if they will work. I took them back to bass pro shop and they said a lot of people have returned there cameras for the same reasons. DONT BUY CAMERA! ITS A PAPER WEIGHT!

    Terrible experience, camera will not register brand new batteries as fully charged. They are constantly updating the firmware and I can’t retrieve the pictures through the WiFi system as advertised. The night pictures were awful. I will return for a better product.

    These things are worthless. I’ve spent the last 2 hrs trying to get it to pair to an iPhone and also to an iPad and it won’t connect to either one. If it has wildlife innovations on it I’ll pass from now on.

    First off I’ll start with the “Pro’s”. The camera takes phenomenal pictures. Uploads and notifications to my iPhone are instantaneous. The app is kinda wonky and not clear on certain functions (especially if the cam is in the field and you are not). The setup took about 20 mins while in the house. Kept “failing” to register etc but after repeated attempts it went through. I would like to be able to update settings of the camera while away from it but that doesn’t seem possible. I’ve used other cell camera hunting apps that make it very user friendly . Even with the slight headache of setting it up I am very please again with the notifications and the quality of the pictures.

    Bought three of them for my property 2.5 hrs away. One is sending pictures. One said it set up when I was beside it but haven’t received a single picture from an area my previous SD card camera was getting 1000 pics a month. The other one I am getting a blue tooth error. Called customer service and it says if you have that error to email someone - I can’t even make out the email address to send it to because the person speaking has a heavy French accent that I can’t make out. App does NOT have most of the features they say it does. From the camera that is working I can’t even figure out how to check the battery life. Called customer service and they seem to not have a clue what they are talking about. Save yourself the hassle and buy something else.

    I generally look past bad reviews due to connection issues since so many people can easily create their own problems because of the lack of knowledge. From the get go this thing had one issue after another. I did get it to connect, displayed the live feed, I got a pop up for the firmware to update, I did that, then I kept getting a lost connection issue, the device would disappear from the device list, I could never get a stable connection to last long enough to view any test pictures that were taken in my house at various locations and distances, anywhere from right next to me in the couch 30 feet away. At no point would it connect to Bluetooth, even after the firmware update. Skip this absolute mess of a trail cam! There is NOTHING reliable or enjoyable about this camera or app! HARD PASS!

    I have had this camera for a month not...not 1 single picture has been taken with it. Deleted app...reinstalled...same thing!!! Can't get the darn thing to do anything...I had the IT guy at my job to try and set it up...same thing...Highly disappointed ...😔😔

  • Bugs Worked Out, Excited for Future

    Camera setup was a bit clunky, clearly there were some software bugs that needed to be worked out. Since the latest releases it seems like they’ve really got it figured out. I’m pumped to see the future technology and scouting features that are on the way. Mostly excited for the Buck Scoring.
