Welcome to inkl. You've just discovered the last news app you'll ever download.

Tap here to see how we've changed how news is read in 184 countries.

You might have heard that journalism is dying. It's not difficult to see why people believe that considering the flood of clickbaity news stories and meaningless drivel out there. It's not good for your eyeballs and it's certainly not good for journalism.

But journalism is too important to die and your life is too short to waste on rubbish.

That's why we partner with the most reliable newsrooms across the globe. Good journalism means trustworthy journalism. It means accountability and insight. But it's not just what WE think is worth reading. It's what the editorial teams from top newspapers consider important. That's depth and experience that sets us apart.

You likely have unread email digests in your inbox, unused news apps on your phone and a social media feed with more baby news than world news. We understand: it's a fast-paced, fragmented, competitive and sometimes duplicitous news environment out there.

So we made inkl. The last news app you'll ever download. Here's why…

No one likes ads. So we tossed them out.

No one likes paywalls. So we've worked with publishers to remove them.

Multiple perspectives on events. Because Brexit means different things to different people.

No one else needs to know what you read. So they’re gone too.

You needed more Elon Musk. So did we.

We treat you the way we like to be treated (well).

Waiting for web pages to load is so 2013.

So you can follow the news from space. Or your lead-lined toilet.

Best of all you can try inkl completely free for a month. Just download the app now and start reading. After your free trial you can choose to stay on inkl Basic (which will still give you limited access to content, but without Premium features like Dive Deeper), or upgrade to Premium.

Upgrading through the App Store gives you access to 30 days of inkl Premium. The charge is paid directly through the App Store upon purchase and auto-renews at the end of the billing period unless cancelled. A user can cancel the auto-renewal from their Account Settings immediately after purchase and at anytime, however any changes to the subscription renewal within 24 hours of the renewal date will still incur the price of a renewal.

inkl Premium costs $11 USD per month. Prices may vary locally according to differing regional pricing structures in the App Store.

If you do chose to upgrade any time remaining on the free-trial offer will be forfeited. However, if you do not upgrade, your trial will revert back to inkl Basic, which is free.

  • Great news app!
by MGayleG on 2018-02-05 at 1:34 PM

This was the news app I’ve been wanting! It’s straight forward and easy to use without all the clickbait and random ads littering the page. You can customize what sources you want to receive news from and make your own tags to follow stories that are more topic specific. I’m still in my free trial, but the content and the app are good enough to make me seriously consider buying a subscription. I was a bit deterred by the subscription price per month being $10, in comparison with apps like Reuters and even Apple News, which are free for the most part. But for some new sources like The Washington Post and The Economist you need to have a subscription to their specific periodical to gain access to certain content. I can see how the $10 inkl price could be worth it in that regard. One flat fee per month for access to all those periodicals except WSJ and Barron’s (which i don’t read anyway). […]

  • best new app i’ve seen in years
    by iq2 on 2018-01-17 at 6:01 PM

it’s fast, easily customizable, and does well with less mainstream topics that both google and apple heap google, oddly) don’t handle well. i looked up tibetan buddhism and not only got near instant articles and news on it, the keywords generated were very on point as well. the apps own picks and sources are many and good. my only request is to be able to add a couple of my choosing, but it’s a quibble. cross platform too. i will be using on both android and ios and will subscribe to show my support starting next month. bravo! • Best news app, bar none
by fjpoblam on 2017-10-24 at 2:14 AM

BTDT. Thoughtfully curated, artfully presented, nicely responsive. It is worth paying for quality, and either of the two subscription options should be adequate for most dedicated news readers. […]

  • Almost Perfect
by Guy Lovestoread on 2017-07-15 at 5:28 PM

This app has quality news but it's drawback is that if I were to share an article, the person on the other end would have to subscribe to Inkl. Also I am not given the option of opening an article in Safari. Therefore this app is good for private use but is found wanting in sharing information with others. […]

  • Cannot unsubscribe
by Miamojo on 2017-05-29 at 2:29 PM

You can buy an unlimited plan for $15 a month or $10 for 100 articles. It is IMPOSSIBLE to unsubscribe. It's not through Apple, you need to email INKL to unsubscribe and all the email addresses bounce. There is no setting in the app to unsubscribe. Also when on a free plan, most articles are free, a few are premium. Once you upgrade to 100 for $10 a month, you are charged for EVERY article. I got emails daily begging me to subscribe and now that I subscribed, all forms of contact have disappeared. Free is fine, do not upgrade. […]

by SmileyWiley Thiel on 2016-07-03 at 1:16 PM

  • No landscape mode??
    by magnum6 on 2016-07-02 at 3:46 AM

Come on! How long has iOS supported landscape mode? Really short sighted to not provide such a simple feature. It's telling in regards to your development team's lack of experience. […]

  • Simple, clear, useful and no clickbait
by Stephe Wilks on 2016-06-14 at 4:25 AM

I like the fact that I get a sensibly curated view of the world from a broad variety of sources, covering off the key issues of the day; and not wasting my time trying to work out if some clickbait headline is actually obscuring something I want to read. Great App - keep up the good work... […]

  • Excellence in quality without quantity
by crasshipster on 2016-05-29 at 7:15 PM

I use the free service. Well-curated news. Stories and sources combined for informative, international, variety - without a huge mass of everything available or different versions of the same stories. No celebraties or other nonsense. I don't have to weed through US election fodder - it's rarely included by default. The ads are nonintrusive. Thank you for an enjoyable, full featured, user experience for free. I can focus, browse, and read without multiple, intrusive, elements. I can't justify $120 a year for news. I already pay for subscriptions to services like The Atlantic. Though it could be worth it for the extra features, like more in-depth material. I do like to support app development, but I don't need another subscription. A fee to remove ads or something would be nice - to support the app. I did get likes on Facebook from my serious news junky friends for my post about Inkl. Rare and deserved. An app I can, and have, highly recommended. […]

by annyo on 2015-10-03 at 5:04 AM
