- Trashy companyby Seala51 on 2021-01-07 at 12:31 PM
I’ve bought this app twice and now they broke the app again so I’ll pay a yearly subscription of 30 bucks. I do not recommend.
- Unable to speak to a live agentby Mr. Too Mad on 2020-11-15 at 7:30 AM
I am giving you a 1 star because I can’t go lower. I have been trying to reach someone about my account. It is very difficult to reach you!! It appears no one is trying to reach out to me!!!! I do not understand the billing process. My service was discontinued for what appeared to be non payment but I don’t understand why since it was paid. Then I renewed the subscription and they are now advising again, account needs to be paid. The only reason why I renewed while I was unhappy and questioned the billing process was due to the app was extremely helpful with my daily practice. I am seeking to find other apps and afterward, I will look into your business practice to see if something nefarious is going or if it’s something wrong on my side.
- Best Antibiotics Resourceby Peg Austin on 2020-09-04 at 2:30 PM
I have used this app extensively since becoming an NP. I find it very valuable and useful I plan to purchase every year. Very easy to use.

- App separateby tryan555 on 2020-04-08 at 6:24 PM
Hoped I could link this with computer link. But can’t use my JHH password so it doesn’t flow.
- Caution: Editing content doesn’t work and free trial is bait and switchby Windwaves77 on 2020-03-28 at 4:07 PM
This is a clinical only focus that ignores major disciplines in medical education...for example pharmacology. Kind of shocking. Poor design and although there was to be a month free trial my card was charged and can’t figure out how to cancel.
- Accessible and informativeby SexyMama😍 on 2020-02-07 at 2:56 PM
I found this app very helpful and handy. It’s like one stop shop. Simple but covers everything you need to know for a new NP like me.
- Well worth every pennyby U to the World on 2019-12-08 at 4:41 AM
I work as an ID fellow and I wouldn’t be able to survive fellowship without this app. It’s essentially an ID textbook available at your fingertips. It works very well and updates constantly to give the latest info possible. I plan to re-up every year!!!
- Can’t log into my accountby hyv2 on 2019-09-21 at 12:35 PM
There is a glitch in this app because I switched phone but it won’t let me log into my account. It is making me create a new one and buy it’s subscription again
- Outstanding reference!by Beastgrower on 2019-07-31 at 12:03 AM
I don’t dare tell my chairman that she could buy this for the faculty and house staff and would not need me anymore.
- Blankby rpark91 on 2019-07-25 at 9:26 PM

- Hopkins guide is a Great companionby Infectious diseases physician on 2019-05-24 at 12:56 PM
Very helpful. Been in practice for over 11 years. John Hopkins guide is my best friend. I use it in fellowship and later in practice!
- Excellentby Toby Pusch on 2019-05-09 at 3:06 AM
Easy, complete and up to date. Love it. I have Sanford Guide too, but Hopkins is easier to navigate.
- HIV guide subscriptions issueby Omarym on 2019-05-06 at 9:19 AM
I already brought the HIV guide as an extra subscription add on THE antibiotic guide But I couldn’t access it either through APP OR WEBSITE
- Indispensableby The Spiky Haired Girl on 2018-11-13 at 10:06 AM
Added: I do not understand all of the poor reviews over having to repurchase this app. Ongoing costs are incurred by the developer to keep the guide updated with the latest info, latest abx, etc, as well as updates for the various software platforms. Virtually ALL apps in medicine are on the subscription model for this very reason. Original review: Clearly laid out. Easy to quickly find the info that I need in my daily practice. This app combined with UpToDate are my go-tos. (Yes, UTD has abx info, but again, the JH app is so user friendly.) Worth the asking price. This is my 3rd year to subscribe. I’ve also tried Sanford Guide, but this app’s layout was easier for me to find the info I need. YMMV.
- Excellent antibiotic appby julianad on 2018-10-29 at 6:07 PM
Easy to use and has the antibiotic info I need in practice
- No registrationby ARR1963 on 2018-10-27 at 2:55 PM
Poor sign on - paid the yearly fee but no place in the app I can register and get a password to go on my pc to sign up. Also cannot access specific details of antibiotics recommended at this point.
- Boxed Out?by Z--man- on 2018-09-01 at 6:50 PM
I bought the App and really enjoyed using it for reference. Then when the app required updating I was forced to get a new version of the app (rather than update my older one) and now it requires another purchase. This is a pet-peeve of mine. Essentially forces me into paying twice. Happy to hear feedback and a solution from the developer if you have one.
- How to turn off auto update?by Pinkpearlycloud on 2018-08-20 at 3:03 AM
Account settings were well hidden. The option to turn off auto update is not available. Please fix. Thank you
- Very disappointedby silkysmom on 2018-06-09 at 12:29 PM
No update for iPhone or iPad. This app was my go to in my profession.
- Unscrupulous businesses practicesby ssnephro on 2018-06-01 at 11:56 AM
The developer keeps on charging money for the updated versions of this app. They should have the decency of providing the newer version of the app for free to the customers who have paid already. I have paid for the versions of this app twice already, and will no pay any more. I will not recommend this app.
- Very reliableby sm749898 on 2018-04-13 at 1:17 PM
I use this app every day. I love that the content is updated frequently.
- excellent appby northlea on 2018-03-09 at 12:01 PM
Lots of helpful information, easy to find what you need. Highly recommended.
- Excellent experienceby Imonyatambi on 2018-01-10 at 5:07 PM
I had never before had to call with help for the products since owning them for years until now. The prompt response was unprecedented compared to other services I’ve used; the experience, knowledge and efficiency of service provided was great. By the way the experience using chat and telephone calls were phenomenal. Great job.
- Best ID resourceby Puebloan on 2017-11-26 at 10:10 PM
I am an ID specialist and use this app daily in my clinical practice. My only complaint is that content is often not current.
- App not compatible with iOS 11by Dmd0405 on 2017-11-10 at 5:00 PM
I also had purchased the apps separately. Including Diabetes now unable to view as it says not compatible. These apps need to be updated for this version
- Do not use unboundby Mav911911 on 2017-11-09 at 3:07 AM
I have had many of their products in last few years at about 60 an app. iOS 11 comes along and they are the ONLY app publisher that didn’t update their product to work in iOS 11. Their solution - rebuy every app to the updated iOS app. I bought the standalone non subscription app to prevent downstream costs with a huge upfront cost. Egg on my face huh. Unbound had 2 years to update all their apps but chose to gouge their customer base! ——- I did contact customer service and heir response, buy the new app at full cost, not a solution that works for me
- Lousy business practicesby UricFel on 2017-11-08 at 11:48 AM
I use the Hopkins antibiotic guide regularly. I updated my work phone and no dice. Now I cannot restore my purchase in this new app. Thankfully I have another device that I’m not updating.
- Do not buy thisby newestdr on 2017-10-25 at 8:35 PM
They want you to pay again for the same material after an ios update. They should not be allowed in the app store. Arrogant developer. They put the venerable institution of Hopkins to shame.
- They will rip you off!by [email protected] on 2017-10-24 at 11:30 AM
Paid tons of money for apps and then after iOS 11.... wouldn’t update.... they said if was apples fault.... but every other app updates. Shame on them...
- Disappointedby Persephone's itunes on 2017-10-20 at 7:49 AM
This was my go to app for an antibiotic quick guide for several years. I use date my iPhone and suddenly I need to rebuy the content I’ve already purchased. No app update without paying for what I’ve already bought. Very disappointed. Will use alternative resources from now on.
- Very big let downby Babe a roo on 2017-10-18 at 2:28 PM
After having owned their products for years they got greedy! After making me pay a large up front fee to own the content they stopped updating their product and deleted it from the App Store! Only problem, now all iOS 11 users can use the products they previously bought and what’s worse, now I have to rebuy access to a new app! Really? What a disappointment!!!
- ABX guideby camilaurel on 2017-07-04 at 2:32 PM
This is a nice, easy go-to guide while in clinic working at a fast pace. It's not the most comprehensive but covers the basics concisely.
- Needed!!by applehu1 on 2017-05-14 at 2:58 PM
This app it's essential. I just finished residency and did two ID rotations. What I found out is that this app helped me shine and ultimately made me feel confident.
- Great Appby Zak, PharmD on 2017-04-01 at 12:54 AM
As a clinical pharmacist, I use this app daily to help make decisions on difficult cases. I love the "selected drug comments" section at the end of each infection page, very good information. Not all inclusion but a great place to start. Also a great resource for pharmacy and medical residents.
- Indispensableby Dr. Robelfo on 2017-03-27 at 8:48 PM
... but obviously does not preclude your clinical judgment. I use this as a quick point of care reference for the sake of confirmation/clarification, renal dose adjustment, etc. Not a replacement for primary literature or clinical good clinical acumen - but you already knew that.
- Horrible appby DVLarush on 2016-12-09 at 12:19 PM
Do not buy this app. This is not for ID physicians.Sanford is definitely batter than this. For me this is junk. I wish they give my money back. It is not easily accessible, dies not cover all the organisms and diseases.Poorly executed and did not expect this kind of lame product from Hopkins.

I use the antibiotic guide. Love it and use it multiple times a day. A necessary part of my practice. Clear, concise, and up to date with great practical clinical information. 100% recommend this app.
- Excellent point-of-care app!by Mdbrownmdbrown on 2016-03-19 at 4:05 PM
As a family practitioner, I use this nearly every day in my practice. It is invaluable, easy to navigate, and up-to-date. The selected drug comments are helpful, and sometimes (intentionally) funny. I recommend this to all my colleagues.

- Best ID app and reference to dateby Dreddieuf on 2015-08-10 at 5:02 PM
I have been a large fan of the Hopkins antibiotic guide for years. The recommendations are evidence based and clinically relevant. Stanford guide is significantly inferior to this guide. Online content for hopkins guide is similar to the app and included in cost of subscription. I recommend this app to all clinical pharmacists, pharmacists, and residents.
- Great appby Riz 75 on 2015-06-26 at 9:44 PM
