  • Pay to win!
by Jon Milburn on 2021-01-16 at 11:14 PM

If you have hundreds of dollars to spend, this game is for you!

  • Beef or up bring it back to the top.
    by Sw33t2th on 2021-01-13 at 6:25 AM

Many years I’ve played these styled games but I always come back to this one. For some reason the strat involved and the reward system are properly in place but as any games of this type there are the massive spenders that sour things up. Cons are the major events normally require a “season pass” type of unlock to really get the beefy reward. There could be a better assortment of troops to play on strategy a bit more in pvp and there could be town/march sort of aesthetics to make late game a bit more appealing to long term players. Regardless I’d enjoy seeing devs produce a newer polished version with the same key features that make this game such as the crude humor and the environmental bonus’s and strats.

  • Support system is an absolute joke-game is laggy
by Daledis on 2021-01-05 at 4:08 PM

Ata support pretends to care about harassment and bullying, but they don’t. The developers all have in game cliques they look out for. I personally was hacked by two players. I showed evidence to the developers and was banned from their discord. Oce again the same people harassing me began to spread my personal information around. Their staff specifically, Burger, called me a Karen for wanting my situation fixed. Knowing that I am a male thought misgendering me would be comedic. I assure you it wasn’t. They will never take any action against their favorite players. And you’re told if you don’t like it tough basically. People have accounts stolen often and support doesn’t help. There are bots used and developers do nothing. This whole company is an absolute joke. The lag is horrible and getting worse and developers do nothing. Anything broken doesn’t get fixed. They just add more stuff for you to buy. They’re trying to squeeze every penny out before this game goes belly up like some of their other games. Monthly event are the same thing over and over and over and over. Buy packs and shut up. Don’t complain or you’ll be banned. This used to be the greatest game ever. BEWARE. STAY AWAY Save time and money and keep scrolling.

  • This game is great
    by typhoon_shelter on 2020-12-30 at 4:13 PM

Very fun game espeacally if you join a clan good or bad. Although this game is a little pay to win and can have some bullying over big clans to new ones but other then that this is a game that thoroughly deserves 5 stars. However I have a problem in witch although you are supposed to start with a rare dragon, I somehow never got a rare dragon resulting in a very weak dragon army. But other then this “glitch” heckfire is a great game.

  • Don’t download this if you have an older device
by Zagnutter on 2020-12-19 at 2:04 AM

I have played this for a few years now. It can be a fun game but can also be very expensive if you don’t want to wait 3 month or longer for some upgrade times to run. This will be the case when you reach higher levels. Recently I had an issue where my data was off the charts. I submitted a help desk ticket to find out why. I was asked how often the game crashed. My response was that it does not, it just restarted almost every time I switch between apps. At this point I was told it was because of my old device. It’s an iPhone 7 running current OS which works perfectly fine with every other app, game I have loaded. There have been so many updates, “upgrades”, that seems to always have issues. I don’t recall a single one in 3 years that went very smooth, so apparently not very thorough testing done before a release. But this is my device. So now, less than 2 days after the help desk ticket was closed, I can’t even get on the game. It’s starts up and immediately closes. This is very strange since I had zero crash issues before I submitted the help desk which I stated I would not be investing in a new phone to test their theory. Beware... there is no type of compatibility setup in this app to support any type of older devices apparently. Not a very happy customer considering I just drop $100 on the game about a week ago and now it won’t even load after submitting a help desk ticket.

    by €%*~>€>?<|>€£!< on 2020-12-12 at 11:00 PM

You know I have to say that at first I really enjoyed this game. It has a lot of neat elements attached to it and always draws my attention. You know? There’s always something to do. Honestly my only complaint is the staff. There was a huge programming error that reverted all my dragons to Lv 1. Then I had to use all my dragon speedups to get my dragons back to where they were so I could receive points for an event. It was a years worth of work and saving up dragon speedups all gone down the drain. I had 400+ 1 hr speed ups, 100+ 3hr speedups and 50 or so 24hr speed ups all for dragons and all gone. They are now “compensating” everyone with another dragon event which we were not made aware of until a few days after this whole incident. Now I have no way of partaking in this event. It’s just really unfortunate how they rolled out an update without testing it or thinking about the ramifications. Hopefully whoever runs their support staff and update staff gets fired or suspended for their poor work. Such a shame to see my work just gone.

  • Don’t Download
by xXkillacattXx on 2020-12-08 at 10:41 PM

Definitely enjoyed the game...until a few weeks ago when they decided to rob the players of their purchases and dragon experience. This is definitely a pay to play game, which is fine, and I have spent my fair share of money. The fact that players spend so much on this game and in return get shafted by the rude support staff and incomplete updates is crazy to me. Mistakes happen but then they never offered players any real compensation in return. 5 x 24 hour speed ups? Come on KoH. At least try and show that you care about the players that are making you millions.

  • Nerfs and increasing pay to win
    by mrtrouble93 on 2020-12-08 at 11:56 AM

The devs have recently been releasing updates that have caused MASSIVE chaos and imbalance to the game, in the middle of a meta event. They messed up half of everyone’s dragons, right before the dragon event. So if you were good and didn’t touch the chow they refunded you then you got screwed for dragon event placements. And with recent “new” events they’re releasing, the game is shifting even more strongly towards the Pay to Win realm. Don’t worry about winning anything unless you have deep pockets.

I started playing this game on android a couple years back and I loved it! The only kingdom building game I have ever been able to get invested it. then for some reason when I switched to iOS I never got it back. After a couple years I came back and it’s just as if not way more fun with so much to do!

  • Horrible economics, server stability and support
by F2P KOH on 2020-12-06 at 8:53 PM

Been playing this game for over 2 years, met a lot of great friends through it. Used to look past a lot of the blatant issues with the game and have tried to look past the changes in the economy. But I cannot do that any longer. Unless you want to spend thousands in this game to be competitive, you cannot be competitive. They changed the economics a little while ago, had massive backlash from everyone and rolled a few small things back. But again it is impossible for those who do not have money to spend to be able to play fairly with everyone else. Note to ATA: do not go giving me the same crap comment of we rolled some of the changes back, that does not change my stance. In other news they have some members on the support staff that cannot handle any type of criticism and will lash out at their customers. I have many friends that have left the game due to ATA’s poor ability to develop a fair game. Also server stability is by far the worst out there of any game I have ever played. Let’s also add in the lag and marches getting stuck during ffa. All game issues and when you have to counter it on your own in game and then tell their support group about the issue, they never fix it. And then when you ask to be reimbursed for their issues after losing gems to save yourself when you couldn’t send marches to hide or anything that you paid for to have said gems. And they tell you we don’t reimburse for that, when it is their own game issues. Save your money don’t buy into this game

  • Dragongate
by GulfTigerAU on 2020-12-06 at 4:53 PM

The devs goofed up big time. 3 years of progress on drags gone in an instant. Given millions of 1 minute speed ups and told to rebuild it myself. Paid for an event that I could not fully participate in due to their mess. Devs lost my trust. No more money from me.

  • Rip off
    by Lil__Red on 2020-12-05 at 2:16 AM

This game was fun until the Black Friday sells selling tons of speed ups then implemented changes so they became null and void essentially robbing people of the money spent.

  • Great Game, Poor Developers
by merl highchurch on 2020-12-04 at 9:10 AM

I loved this game. I’ve played a lot of war and strategy games and this one was by far the best. The art style and the humor involved with the event story lines are great. It’s one of the most engaging game I’ve played. Yes the game is very much pay to win. There’s a lot of grinding to get to a point where you can feel accomplished but then you run into someone who’s bought their power and it’s a little discouraging. However that didn’t kill this game. There was enough content and a strong close knit player base to overlook those setbacks. It’s always been fun. However, the developers I don’t think have spent a single day playing this game. They’ve made updates and have taken away things players put time and money into without warning. They have no communication on what they are doing and they have flat out lied multiple times on changes being made or how they are going to fix an issue. This is a company that will gladly take your money but has no care for your input. They don’t care if they break their game. They don’t care if they can’t fix major issues that set players back or take things from players that they’ve spent time and money working on. It’s sad because this is such a great game. Don’t buy it. Don’t support these dishonest money hungry developers.

  • ATA needs to get it together
by NateNoodle on 2020-12-04 at 5:26 AM

They keep making changes to the value of earned consumable items. They make drastic changes to the games economy that seem ill-planned and usually at the expense of the player base. Their most recent debacle is changing dragons and first reimbursing players the chow, used to feed and grow dragons, then taking most of it away only to reimburse with minimally impactful items. The community is fun but the developers need to be more thoughtful of the changes they make and quit screwing their players. I personally have stopped spending a lot of money because the devs keep making terrible changes. I’ll wait it out to see what kind of long game they’re trying to achieve but I just don’t see the sense in it other that boosting their profits. Also as much as the devs claim they don’t approve account sharing or purchasing, it happens constantly and I find it hard to believe the devs can’t tell immediately when an account changes IPs from across the country in a matter of seconds. Data collecting bots connected to Discord also exploit a hole the devs won’t close. People can’t typically see all your owned allies unless they have a discord bot that collects the data.

One of the quests is literally buy stuff with in-app purchases. For only $40 you can complete the quest with 3 stars. The lag is bad, the atmosphere is toxic, bot users are not punished. It’s getting worse and worse. I’m quitting

  • Same scam - Different Game
    by Patsan21 on 2020-11-27 at 6:32 AM

Don’t play this or any other ATA games. They change game play and user experience to scam player base out of money and progress, by running games into the ground or stealing hard work and progress from loyal customers. They have done this for years now. Apple should take a hard look at their company ethnics and ban them from Apple store. They are scammers!!!!! Where is the option for zero stars, one star is more than then deserve.

    by Player#0 on 2020-11-27 at 12:01 AM

You ever want to invest time and money into something? You know, watch how something develops and grows bigger and stronger? Well look no further, at Kingdom of Heckfire you can watch your dragons defy logic and reasoning as your strong and powerful dragons look like mere infants due to unexpected nerfs on premium paid for dragons with research to boost it that takes literally years in speeds to max out.

  • This is one of those games..
    by rosy3ones on 2020-11-25 at 7:34 PM

That will keep my interest for a long time. The basic premise is that you upgrade your townhall’s buildings, research increasingly valuable capabilities, and level up your dragons. In doing so, you gain higher and higher might. At face value, the game is okay. What really makes it addictive is the drama and camaraderie aspect of (and between) the teams, called clans. There is an in-game chat feature, as well as the capacity to send email to other players, and many clans incorporate Discord for it’s message notifications. Aside from communicating, whether in cooperation or to talk trash, players are encouraged to participate in events from killing realm monsters to “farming” resource nodes to outright PVP. Might is a factor when it comes to attacking; higher might means you can hit harder targets. Another reviewer said bullying is prevalent. It is, but that’s part of the nature of the game. While the devs have stated harassment is not tolerated, and have encouraged players to hit within their own brackets, some people WILL attack and “zero” smaller players. The way to avoid this is to use shields, join tougher clans where you might be able to get some backup, and hurry towards higher might yourself. This “thirst” for higher might does drive many players to purchase items in the store. There are subtle and not-so-subtle ads, but you do not have to “pay to win” — it just takes a little longer if you don’t make purchases. All in, the communication, competitiveness, and gameplay are well done. The devs communicate regularly with players on Discord, and I find that encouraging. I also find it encouraging that they ask for feedback. Here are some suggestions that would make this game even more addictive, for me: • The ability to choose channels in another chat tab. Currently, we have 3: announcements, clan chat, and realm chat. It would be great if my clan could create a chat with other clans in our alliance (not an official feature), or if we wanted to chat with clans in other realms. • More focus on farming and trading vs just might growth and PVP. I think a clan “bank” should be created that the clan leader oversees and maybe resources gained past a person’s “cap” could go into that. Other clans could attempt to hit the bank and steal goods, against which players could defend. ^ While the game currently has a vassal and liege feature for invited players, I think that could be expanded to offer rewards/resources to clan leaders or to the clan bank. ^ Regarding trading, we should be able to trade goods beyond just gold, food and ore. Trading dragon chow, gems, stamps and even idols would be ideal— and not just between clan mates, but between clans. Leaders could trade goods with other clans to reinforce alliances or buy off enemies. • I think we should be able to choose what resources we want to collect when attacking. If I’m only interested in ore, it doesn’t do me any good to collect as much food or gold — although this is another place having a clan bank would come in handy... • When going after realm monsters to complete events and challenges, faster monster respawn would help SO much. I don’t know what the current respawn time is, but an hour or even several hours would be great. • Finally, brew and titans. Please expand the ability to research “lower brew cost” even further. It’s ridiculous to expect anyone to spend 3k brew on a single titan because attacks only amount to 1-3% per hit. For context, 250 raid and regular brew is the default. You can increase your brew capacity, but not to 3k (or at least not anytime soon). 3k brew is not easy to come by without purchasing it, which makes some titans inaccessible to lower-might players. If that can’t be changed (and even if it can), please also enable players to rally titans. Considering how much effort/brew it costs to kill a titan or complete a raid, rewards like dragon chow, relics and dragon shards could be increased. ^ Also, please increase the frequency of titans spawning. I’m aware how often certain rewards are dropped and how to get them, and my questions are always answered very quickly via the help ticket system. Devs: thank you for that, and for providing an enjoyable, engaging game.

  • Oddly addictive
by Artisus on 2020-11-24 at 4:14 PM

This is a cyclical game (same events are repeated over and over) so there is no real "winning" an endgame, which is why there are lots of reviews that talk about Pay to Win-- if you are Free to Play (FTP) you'll notice it's very slow unless you're on all the time, and it's very slow beginnings. But it's a fun way to pass the time with a good mix of player v player and player v environment activities.

by InZanio on 2020-11-17 at 6:09 PM

  • Just don’t . . . Pay to Win or die !!!!
by SkullGearMC on 2020-11-15 at 9:07 PM

I’ve played this game for months now . . . I met some pretty interesting players, made some friends, but this game just isn’t worth it. ATA will claim there is a balance between F2P & P2W. Sure, except when it comes to games like this where strength is key. The deeper you’re wallet, the faster you grow, and the Stronger you become . . . The idea of the game is good, the implementation is so so, and the execution is bad. This game is just repetitive. There is no end goal. Yes, new Metas are released, but the gameplay never changes. ATA just rotates the events by week. These metas are nice, so long as you pay to play. If you pay, they will help you grow greatly, if you don’t it’s so-so. The packs designed to help you grow are designed to be cheap and inexpensive, but as you get bigger the longer it takes to grow, the more expensive it gets. Even worse every week there is an FFA day, and if you don’t shield good luck. I just had a clan member reach 1 Billion Might, his shield collapsed while he was sleeping. The biggest clan in our realm ported over, and attacked him over 60 times he lost 400 Million might and all his troops. This doesn’t sound bad till you realize that’s close to 3 million troops dead. When it takes 10 IRL days to train 50,000 troops. It takes forever, unless you buy the troop training packs conveniently put in the in game store on FFA day, even then it’s $10 for 30 days of speed ups when in reality you need closer to 60 days of speed ups to recover you’re losses. Oh did I mention that’s just for one troop type out of three? The game is based around pvp, but any P2W player will quickly outgrow any and all F2P. This is so bad that literally in one day I’ve seen 15 people quit. It is so rampant that the game literally has dead realms. Accounts just sit there inactive, because ATA won’t delete them. Instead they make a new realm. Like it would fix anything. All that happens is big P2W players create alt accounts (which is against ATA’s TOS, but they don’t do anything) and play in the new realm until it dies. Oh and people buy and sell accounts too. Someone is selling theirs right not for $700. Once again, violating TOS, but oh well. I would say that most F2P players top out around 500 Million Might (Might is strength) and either quit, because of how hard it is to keep up to P2W or because the P2W players just zero them. When you are zeroed, they destroy all you’re troops, buy your allies, and as they attack you, they steal you’re resources, and destroy your gold. You can’t ever recover destroyed gold. Oh but wait!!! You can buy gold packs with real money!!!! That’s great except, you get huge bonuses from buying allies with in game gold. This too sounds good, until you realize good allies are hundreds of millions of gold, and the packs come in 12 million gold for $9.99 and 60 million gold for $19.99. See how quickly it adds up???? Do yourself a favor and stay away. This game has no end in sight, and ATA honestly doesn’t do anything to fix the game at the core. Their main focus is the bottom dollar, and it’s truly sad because they could have something amazing here.

  • ATA let’s those that spend big bully
by Lootyyyy on 2020-11-15 at 6:28 PM

While looking in the reviews here, ata claims they don’t allowing bullies in the game but that rule doesn’t apply to those that spend big money in the game as this is the way ata gets their paychecks! The game is full of lag and all the care about is how much more crap they can add to the game for money but never fix the bug issues. I’m telling any one reading this absolutely do not download the game. You will start out not needing to spend but by townhall 20 it’s nothing but a money pit for ata. Their admin cater to those spending and change the rules for them. If you attempt to question them on it they close the help ticket on you saying there’s no issue. I suggest to anyone thinking of downloading this game to run away from it as fast as possible!!!!

I was playing this game for a good while when all of a sudden the game glitches and I lose near all my troops because of this. I try to get help with this matter, and the creators say that I am not important. They also never did anything to help my claim and told me I was wasting their time. They were extremely rude to me and I feel that they should try to actually help the people who play their game rather than be extremely rude.

  • Constant Bugs with horrible compensation
    by ConcernedPlayer1234 on 2020-10-29 at 6:47 PM

I’ve been playing KoH for about a year now and its highly addictive. Its a great PVP game that keeps your interest even at the higher levels. The one problem with this game is the bugs. The bugs alone are not the problem though, (obviously any game with constant updates is going to have some problems) its the compensation for those bugs. For instance, you could spend a ton of hard earned resources to go after a reward, and due to a bug, it doesnt give it to you or stops you from progressing towards that reward midway. ATAs response is typically some lame reward that doesnt even come close to the amount of resources lost. The customer service has also gone downhill by closing out tickets in the middle of conversations. I would not recommend this game anymore.

And shield for free for all events unless you are participating! It’s literally a pvp game. If you dont like it, DO NOT PLAY! Otherwise, it’s really a fun game! Haha

  • Game is garbage
by teroofe on 2020-10-11 at 3:44 PM

The game is pure garbage. Very unbalanced and ata does not follow their own terms of service. It allows accounts to be bought and sold and they won’t block the accounts. The game allows for cyber bullying to go on and on as well as sexual harassment. When confronted about issues they silence you on discord and their game site. SMH from ata. Save yourself some time and download a better game. I have opened multiple tickets about being silenced yet I’m told once a Decision made they won’t change it. The help system is a joke. I was silenced simply for asking when they were going to address the massive lag issues. Especially during ffa The lag can easily cause you to get zeroed out in a matter of minutes. You put months and months of work in and the lag and inability to log in causes you to lose everything you worked for. When you inform ata of the issue they just silence you so you cant post anymore. The help system is also very rude when responding. Reached out trough the online help to get access to discord back and the help system says no because of The seriousness of the situation, I asked a question they did not like. Only thing I did was ask when the heck the lag issues would be fixed. You see that’s how easy it is for ata to silence you. Ask a question they don’t like and BAM you get a permanent ban. Smh. Save time don’t download this game. Again the devs tell you that you can get access back but when you put in a help ticket they deny it. This game and the help is s joke

  • Pay to Win Win Win
by Oneminutemonkey on 2020-10-10 at 7:16 PM

I started playing this during their crossover event with Party in My Dorm, and for a while it was even kind of fun. Lots to do, nice graphics, cute storylines. A free player can even make it for awhile. But don’t be fooled: this game will shake you down for your lunch money in dozens of ways, and will trap you in a cycle of Fear of Missing Out and spending before you know it. It encourages outright gambling with daily loot boxes. And people who spend money will always progress further and faster and be able to outright bully and crush the competition... the only wa6 to keep up is to spend and even then you’ll never be on top. Worse, they just changed the leaderboard and competition brackets so that you have to expend more resources to gain less results. They did it in such a way that people who had expended resources for a leaderboard position were bumped off and robbed of what they had earned. In short: it’s not worth it unless you have strict self-control, or a lot of disposable income to drop on a game that can manipulate you on an hourly basis. ATA remains an extremely greedy company which panders to the customers who spend the most and exploits the casuals.

In the tutorial I can’t escape the tutorial cause I can’t rank up dragon because I apparently don’t have enough shards. I tried restarting but I can’t play

  • Okay game. Pay to Win folks ruin it though
by Beast Insane on 2020-09-30 at 6:10 PM

Fun game. Interesting take on build your town up and fight. Biomes are neat-o. Just like it says in the title though, P2W folks are 100% ruining the game. They buy gems and just rush T4 troops and become invincible. Other than that, it’s a fun game

  • Good but one thing
by Nobody of interest on 2020-09-27 at 7:19 PM

This game is the best because unlike other games like clash of clans, the upgrade times are nowhere near as long and gems are more useful since they aren’t as rare. Although the upgrade times get quite a bit longer. Although it is okay, cause this game makes up for it

  • Awesome community and support

They respond quickly and this game is awesome!

  • Pay to win. Toxic community.
by KyleNaka on 2020-09-20 at 6:23 AM

This is game has the most toxic community I have ever seen. I thought league of legends and call of duty were bad, but on this game people will literally pay $10,000 just to gain an advantage over every other player. TEN GRAND! And then they will proceed to destroy months of hard work by flattening your troops which take hundreds and hundreds of hours to build. The game should be banned. Don’t download it.

  • Awesome

Very addictive!! Love the game! My whole family plays, even owns a clan which makes it even better. Love meeting new people! Don’t like it so much that I am not big enough to take on those who attack me and I loose troops... but it’s a war game! Expect to grow, rebuild, grow some more and get bigger only have to rebuild again. The dragons are cool and Todd is a pain( inside game joke but that is why he is sacrificed at midnight ....LOL!!!). Try it out... get in a good clan... play a week before you decide to give up. A good clan who will teach you the ropes makes a big difference. Good luck!

  • They care so little about their players
    by lat4600 on 2020-09-20 at 2:58 AM

I’ve been playing this game for years. I kept playing even after they devalued everything significantly with a “balancing update” last year. The clans are typically tight knit groups and you hate to give up something you spend time and money on. Unfortunately the developers, or servers, or swamp dragon in charge of the game is well behind the curve on keeping the game operating smoothly. The dev team won’t help even when it’s game lag because they want you to spend real money to train more and more troops. Don’t waste your time and money.

Haven’t paid a cent and have been playing for months. If you don’t want to pay, don’t. The game still functions. I’ve only grown stronger as I play and if getting attacked isn’t your thing there’s a really cute game where you match candies. I love my clan and the gameplay is easy to learn and quick to master. Love it!

  • Fun for both f2p and p2w!
    by iPownNoobs555 on 2020-09-17 at 11:28 PM

Put a solid month of constant activity into the game and have nothing negative to say about it. There’s fun to be had had for those who spend money and those who don’t. Very easy to understand if your familiar with other strategy games, and has plenty of depth to keep you playing. When your newer to the game, pvp is very forgiving and the events and leaderboards make it fun. Most of the experienced players give good advice and the community (when not at war) is engaging and fun to be apart of. Definitely a game I’m sticking to as long as it keeps updating. Find an active clan and you’re hooked!

  • Inconsiderate
    by Enyo2015 on 2020-09-17 at 11:12 PM

Been playing this game since it was a beta. Took time, speed ups, gems to upgrade “idols” they decided to change them and reset them to lvl 1. And since some people didn’t speed up their researches I have to spend more time, speed ups and gems to reupgrade them so I can hit raids again. Unfair and inconsiderate.

  • Great game, But one thing...
by Aidancrazywierd on 2020-09-17 at 9:02 PM

The game itself is amazing, it’s easy to learn and understand and the graphics are easy on the eyes. The people that play the game are friendly and helpful, but also vicious, which is good for a war game. There’s only one problem that I have with it and it’s this: The deals they provide for gems, bundles, and chests, just simply aren’t worth it. Now I know most people probably enjoy this factor of the game because it makes it less pay to win, but the fact is, you pay $5 for enough resources to last you maybe 3 days. On top of that the amount of gems you get for $5 allows for maybe 10 high level building upgrades. I wouldn’t mind spending money on this game but it’s just not worth it right now. Edit: I have revisited this game after a couple of years and it is definitely improved over time. The store looks fabulous and they provide players with another free chest during the Barbara dragon event, which is very cool. Alongside this, you can participate in monthly events for free and still earn fabulous rewards if you try hard enough. GOOD JOB DEVS!!! 🤩🤩💫 P.s. THE HUMOR in this game is FABULOUS I love it!! ~KingSauron (Still looking for Frodo... and my ring)
