  • Functionality in DOF calculator
by Cinefelippe on 2018-05-12 at 3:51 PM

Before the recent update when you entered in a new distance it would automatically enter a new digit when you type. Now you need to delete the previous calculations and then enter a new one. Little gripe but I liked it better before. […]

  • iOS 11 Support (Edited)
by AnalogInterface on 2018-05-09 at 4:41 AM

EDITED POST: Kodak has updated their app to be iOS 11 compatible and I could not be happier. Updating was a breeze, and the new minimalist design is quite modern. DoF and the Film Calculator are sleek and intuitive. 5/5 ORIGINAL POST:This is a wonderful app, however, the lack of 64-bit support means it no longer works for those who upgrade to iOS 11. Please recompile Kodak. The app is wonderful, and it would be a shame to lose access to such a helpful a […]

  • Poorly designed. Poorly thought-out.
    by JKJKJK333 on 2018-04-28 at 3:07 AM

Lame. Badly designed. Default format is S8. Lab info horribly designed and hard to read (iPhone X). Film ordering form makes no sense — it asks for how many minutes the film is (making one assume ratios can be entered and calculated). Why not tell novices how many minutes a roll of x lasts Typical Kodak... […]

by kgtgg on 2017-11-19 at 3:42 PM

Holding off going to iOS 11 in part because this won't work any longer. Kodak, are you still supporting the app? Five star resource about to be rendered useless. […]

  • Awesome App!
by Zoo Zoo the Bear on 2017-01-12 at 1:40 AM

A big thank you to Kodak for making this app which is very useful! It has all the tools you need whether you have worked with film before or just starting out. One minor thing needs to be addressed though. When looking for labs I only see a street number and name. I do not see a city and state listed as part of the address. Again, nothing major and it shows a map of the general location. Kudos to Kodak for keeping film alive! […]

  • All 1st A.C.s should get this.
by ghostneighbor on 2016-07-31 at 7:40 PM

The best feature is definitely the free DOF calculator. Any lens focal length in mm can be selected, as well as any subject distance in feet & the format of your medium. Unfortunately the links to technical data on some of the film stocks return a "resource not found" error. Yikes. The calculator function is cool but nowhere near as easy as editcalc […]

  • Surprisingly Powerful
by Max Siegel on 2012-07-01 at 8:53 PM

This is a surprisingly useful app for filmmakers who are shooting on film. It's basically an advertisement for Kodak's products -- there are no depth-of-field guides for digital cameras, but I guess that is where pCam comes in -- but it has a lot of powerful features underneath. My only issue is, the Sun Calculator gives me the incorrect sunrise and sunset times. If that issue gets fixed, this would be a five-star app. […]
