Bought this app a few years back on an older iPhone. I rarely buy apps besides educational ones since I’m a teacher and want my kids to learn important things they don’t get in school. I had forgotten about this gem for a while and then recalled it when my son had me play a Geography Sporcle with him and I did abysmally. I pulled it up on my new iPhone 13 mini and handed it to my 13 yo so he could learn the geography and it was unusable. The name of the country at the top of the screen is obscured by the “bump” where the iPhone front camera is. And even at the bottom some of the bubbles that pop up with the countries names are off screen, along with the full picture of that country’s outline. So you can’t even see the shape of the country you are trying to learn! Please update this app so all iPhone users can enjoy it!! It’s an amazing educational tool and I really appreciate its value and quality. Thank you for your work.

Extremely limited and repetitive usage, unless you want to pay. Would be a great concept if not for the creator’s greed.

Pretty good close to four stars but closer to five stars. You could make u able to write it out or something else without options and make not everything you have to pay for.

It’s a simple but brilliant map quiz. The clean aesthetic is most appealing to me 🙂

Exactly what I wanted. Wish the maps were higher resolution! The basics: countries, capital, rivers, etc. broken into regions or just go for it.

I and enjoying this app thus far, there seems to be a problem when you study for North America, I cannot proceed and have to close out the app every time.

Fun and educational - I have learned all the countries of the world in 2 months and it is fun! I love to play “Worldle” and this app has taught me so much, I am able to come up with the correct answer almost every day! $14 is a bargain for all I have learned. Thank you for creating this fun and informative app!

A wonderful way to learn capitals and countries!

I would highly recommend this learning tool in which you can teach yourself about the world around you and what they are. It is exactly what I was looking for when I downloaded it.

45 years ago I met a fellow from China, via Hong Kong, who could draw a world map freehand and correctly mark the nations—in Chinese. He was matter-of-fact about it, not knowing how unusual that skill was in an Indiana high school; it was commonplace in the old country. I’ve admired that ability all this time, and I finally decided to emulate him; I believe that this online map exercise, if I attempt it daily, will let me copy his feat by Christmas. Stay tuned.

A good basic app to sharpen geography skills. It works on my phone but is very spotty on my iPad Pro. Very frustrating as who wants to look at detailed maps on a little phone? Needs to be updated.

this was great for learning the countries until they updated it and now you have to pay for pretty much all the maps.

Absolutely fantastic app. Well built and extremely smooth. So fun and I’m also learning a lot - but mostly it’s fun!! If you’re into geography/trivia this is a must get.

This is such a great app! I am using it to memorize Europe and it’s working great so far! However, it doesn’t ask for the relationship between the cities and the countries. It only gives you the map and the country borders and the symbols for the capitals and cities and asks things like “Find Moldova” or “Find Saint Petersburg”; it doesn’t ask “what’s the capital of Poland” or things like that, and I am struggling to answer questions like that. The fact that I’m looking at the map helps a lot, and it would help if I didn’t need to look at a map—labeled or unlabeled—in order to tell what city is north of Albania.

Now I can’t see the words at the top of the screen. And when I try to pull it down so I can see it, I either tap on the wrong state or country or it opens up something else on my phone. This is so frustrating.

Though I really like learning with this app, there is not a single Asian country highlighted in the Countries section. What about the states of India? Feels like a big miss. I’ll keep playing it, and telling friends about it, but would love this updated to be more inclusive and not so Eurocentric. Thank you!!

Doesn’t say in app purchases. Then you have to buy any additional information packages beyond like the top 10 countries for each continent. Lame

I love this app. Been using it for a good month and now I know the top 75 cities, all capitals, and all countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Highly recommend it.

This APP is the perfect tool for those who are interested in learning about the locations & names of the countries that make up the earth. Great for the inquisitive person who wants to know the location of a country or island as stories appear on the news & current events present themselves.

Finally I’ve found a well-designed educational geography app that doesn’t ruin the experience with pop up ads and obnoxious ‘pay to play’ interruptions. The more in-depth additions to the game are nicely separated from basic gameplay, and priced clearly. I recommend this app for geography buffs! I look forward to buying the additions.

Presentation is exactly what I was looking for. Simple, easy to use and fun. Bought the full map package. Quiz myself instead of mindlessly scrolling throughout the day. Definitely recommend.

I LOVE this app. It truly helps you learn geography quickly and has a learner friendly interface. It has been quite fun to learn geography this way. There are 195 recognized countries and this app has 200… I just wish they could separate the territories/unrecognized states.

I’m just trying to learn but it makes me pay and it’s early enough for money to learn on school.

Before using this app I knew absolutely nothing of geography. I couldn’t locate the 10 largest countries in the world let alone their capitals, or even the states bordering mine in the US. After just a few days of using this app I can locate each US state, locate the 120 largest countries in the world on a map, locate every country in Europe as well as the 25 largest cities and capitals. I have enjoyed expanding my knowledge of geography and appreciate being apple to visualize where cities or countries are on the map when I hear about them or read about them. My only request is adding countries as maps such as France, currently the app only let’s you study a few countries such as the US Germany Canada the UK etc.

Turkey/Asia Minor is a European country? Since when? So Georgia and Azerbaijan must be too right? Objectively miscatagorized.

Annoying

Is a great app and in the ideal format. The app is Anglocentric, and it would be great if there were more options outside of the Western world. Such as India, China, or Japan. Also there aren’t as many cities as there should be. It’s much better to know the 100th most important city in a place than the 40th most important river, yet countries like China only have 5 cities included while it has 9 rivers. Would love more cities and more countries. Wonderful app otherwise though.

It works, sure, but I have to pay 15 dollars to do a geography quiz I can find for free elsewhere. Unbelievable
