  • Latest version crashes
by PC in PA on August 21, 2022 at 12:01 am

Basically useless. Crashes when selecting most loads, especially muzzleloader choices. Please fix. Really liked this app when it worked.

  • Nikon Spot on is Spot on for me
by Pburtonart on May 14, 2022 at 10:03 am

Spot on has always worked good for me and it will cross over to Sig Buckmaster scopes. Change over iOS from android. No issues. Predominately use ProStaff & AR 233 BDC. Also recently useful with Sig Sauer Buckmaster scopes which I’m Ringing steal at 600 yds. Works for me.

  • Never have had a problem
by bigbsorenson on December 1, 2020 at 1:23 am

I have had this app for over 5 years and never have had any issues whatsoever. It’s been great for me!

  • Why so little 6.5 Grendel ammo info?
by citizenconn on October 26, 2020 at 6:13 am

I use this app a lot because I have several Nikon scopes. But why so little ammo info on the 6.5 Grendel?? Especially from Hornady. You have many bullet listings but very very few for ammo. Please update this so I can continue to use the app.

  • Don’t buy it. Return your meter now
    by tre-flip on September 11, 2020 at 5:22 pm

Got it for half off at academy. You’d think Nikon would take pride in their products. You’d be wrong tho. This doesn’t work on an android phone and not in the iPhone either. Wasted my time and now o have to go back and return it.!

  • Very good app
    by N2AK on August 29, 2020 at 3:29 am

I use this app frequently. The data is excellent - very useful at the range and in the field. The interface is a bit clunky. I would like to be able to save specific ammunition selections, or at least be able to search by typing rather than scrolling. I would also like to see a “go back” button for the bullet-only screen.

  • Broken functionality
by Sphycx on August 13, 2020 at 11:26 pm

Broken functionality! Can’t email the ballistic table or chart. Poorly designed app.

  • Broken app
by ShaunRLynch on May 2, 2020 at 8:29 pm

App no longer works this anyone who bought a scope to use with this is hosed. Figures I guess but I still expected more from Nikon. Shame on them.

  • Used to work well, not anymore.
    by Cupcake21231 on February 8, 2020 at 2:03 pm

App keeps crashing as soon as you hit “Fire” The app developers have done nothing to fix it. It’s too bad because it worked really well.

  • Why did it start crashing????
by diapointed now! on January 18, 2020 at 9:54 pm

I used this app religiously and now it shuts down every time I try to use it? What the heck???

  • Junk
by Sluggerbug on January 8, 2020 at 4:58 pm

It doesn’t work crash is all it does and they will not update it!!!!

  • No sound with this app.
    by gator7735 on December 4, 2019 at 9:26 am

I love this app, but its the sound that does not work on my iPhone 11pro. I will just have to try hunt stand instead.

  • No mas
by RT EL MERO MERO on December 2, 2019 at 12:52 am

The app used to work. Now it’s full of errors. I Have a monarch 3 6x24x50 . On a savage .308. Using hornady ammunition. 168 a max. But all data it’s wrong on the app. The pc has no errors. But there is no way I can pack my home pc to my blind. Please fix it. Thanks

  • Far from good
by wovitt on November 6, 2019 at 3:15 am

Mine is stuck in German mode and crashes any time I try anything

  • Free but worth nothing.
    by 1iKen on October 21, 2019 at 1:31 am

I loaded accurate info with a chronographed speed and the chart is not even close. Then it claims the scope was changed but it wasn’t. I reload the scope and hit fire and it still claims the scope was changed. Useless app.

  • Was great now crashed
by john hooger on October 7, 2019 at 12:00 pm

The scope was wonderful for use on all my Nikon scopes. Now the app crashes evertime. Even deleted the app then reinstalled. Nothing.

  • Used to be good
by Poopy mcCool on September 29, 2019 at 5:19 pm

Fix this app now! Used to love this app. Now it is unusable.

  • Was good
by De fumgi on September 16, 2019 at 1:36 am

iPhone 6+ is not working. Please fix. I have 3 of your scopes.

  • Great simple free ballistic calculator
by Zeiss nut on September 8, 2019 at 3:50 am

This ballistic calculator could be better But Nikon Spot on is good enough Nikon seems to listen and SLOWLY incorporating the features we need I.e saved multiple rifle and ammo profiles Remember Garbage in = garbage out Make sure your muzzle velocity is correct , BC is correct Sight height is correct Altitude ,pressure , temp and humidity is close With the same exact data Nikon spot on is only 1 click or 2 differ than Strelock Pro , Bullet drop , applied ballistic and other ballistic calculator Even getting a kestrel 5700 elite does not make you any better So stop listening to those who think ballistic calculator is MAGIC BULLET You HAVE TO provide correct data And then use some field data to correct the dope at long distance Learn how to use this Apps It will help your shooting tremendously

  • Nikon fix this app
by Waiting for my items... on September 6, 2019 at 9:46 pm

Used to be great now it’s terrible and constantly crashes. Bad PR for current customers. Figure it out.

  • Problem on my iPhone XR
    by POP1936 on August 28, 2019 at 7:17 pm

I have Spot On my 6s and Apple IPad and it works perfectly. I just upgraded to IPhone XR. Now I’m having trouble seeing ammo specification for testing. Most all of the lines are running together making it impossible to pick the one I need. Please help as I use Nikon scope on most of my rifles.

  • Program needs some work
by SpoolyDallas on August 27, 2019 at 7:20 am

The data in the selection screen is gambled up. You should be able to change the caliber name. Please add the 25/45 Sharps caliber to the library.

  • Lack of Updates
    by rvbrown91 on August 25, 2019 at 8:18 am

I recently purchased a Nikon FX1000 4-16x50 scope and am shooting Federal Non-Typical 150gr (308 Win). No info on this round. Nothing ballistically close to use. I sent an email requesting they update a week (or more ago). Nothing. If you’re looking for a ballistics app, look elsewhere (even if you’re like me and have enjoyed Nikon scopes past/presently). Lack of updating makes it useless...

  • Nikon Spot on - great check on sighting
    by Beerad61 on July 20, 2019 at 4:11 pm

Love this program/app! It works very well for all loads, and scopes. You can even use it to set a zero for another brand scope. I can use it to check my longer range zero when I only have a close range target.

  • Completely unusable
by Fireczar on July 4, 2019 at 7:45 am

App crashes or freezes constantly. I can’t even use slider to see BDC info at different magnifications with out it freezing. Also will not generate ballistics table. App use to be stable but no longer.

  • Nikon Bolt
    by fishpig.67 on June 27, 2019 at 2:11 pm

The Nikon Bolt scope was set to my crossbow / Bolts. Now the scope is removed and I cant use the app for my old settings?? Which were personalized for my weapon. The scope may have to go. Nikon Help.

  • Don’t update
by Bored at soccer practice on June 17, 2019 at 12:27 am

Last update app crashes to home screen constantly on iPhone 11.4 when selecting any of the 3 steps if you select fire app freezes up forcing to close app Update 6/6/19 iPhone 12.0 just did newest update and still crashes you guys had months to fix this

  • Can’t use or retrieve bullet information.
by DiscTX on May 30, 2019 at 2:45 am

Ammunition/bullet info overlaps. Hard to read or next to impossible to chose the correct information to load into the calculator. If you can’t use it, can’t give it a better review.

  • Crashes more than a Malaysian airliner
by Bdixoammdkxofjrnfkco on May 13, 2019 at 1:01 pm

App worked good last year. Definitely top notch for Nikon scopes but no all it does is crash.

  • Newt1868
by click click drop on May 11, 2019 at 5:00 am

This app works. I have yet to have any problems with I phone. To test app I spent at least 2 hours switching everything, no crash problems. Thank you Nikon. Great products at what I call a justifiable cost. I was going to spend 3k+ on a scope. No need. Once you learn the power settings and understand the mirage calling wind you don’t need a reticle that looks like a box of tooth pics.

  • Latest update app broken
    by $W9 on April 27, 2019 at 8:38 pm

App freezes or shuts down with latest update. This is a good simple ballistics app. MPBR is one of the best features.

  • Crashes
    by Cerebration247 on April 9, 2019 at 9:04 pm

App closes out anytime I try to change a detail to get BDC info

  • Fire?
by Blessed Jack on April 8, 2019 at 2:34 am

What did you do with the “fun” of laying out new range specs and being able to hear the “fire” when you hit the fire button? I sure hope y’all aren’t caving to some deranged pc complainers. Bring back the FIRE.

  • WASTE!!!
by Deputy Stud on March 24, 2019 at 6:02 pm

The application hasn’t worked properly for sometime now. I contacted customer support about this and have yet to get an answer.

  • Terrible
    by deerslayer2083 on March 24, 2019 at 1:56 pm

Crashes, scope info and cartridges need to be updated. Come on Nikon.

  • FIX
by Chef Gregory Gee on March 18, 2019 at 5:41 am

This app worked flawlessly for years. Now when I hit “FIRE,” the app just closes and sends me back to my main phone screens. (iPhone 7) Sometimes it tells me to choose my scope again in Step 1. When I touch Step 1, the app closes. It seems to work for my P-Rimfire scope but not my P-308 scope. What has changed? Please fix. This WAS the greatest app. Now, annoying and makes me wish I had different company’s scope. HELP!!!!!!!!

  • Not for .22 Rimfire II - see update on 3/4/19
    by Me44136 on March 5, 2019 at 4:27 pm

This app does not work for the Prostaff Rimfire II and Federal .22’s. It either abends (IT speak for abnormal end) or doesn’t show drop scale on “fire”. It no longer works for my .223, either. Do not buy a Nikon with the hope of using this app in conjunction with the BDC reticle - you will be very disappointed. Update 3/4/19: Recent update to app made 5 days ago has corrected the above issues I had with it. It can now be trusted!

  • 5 Stars after update!!!!!
by Eyemikeb. on March 5, 2019 at 1:20 am

Finally!! The ability to save multiple scopes with different calibers!! Great!! Works flawlessly!!! One wish would be the ability to name them. Great app. Thanks!!!

  • Finally I Can Save Profiles
by Sonny Grissom on March 1, 2019 at 3:37 pm

This app has always worked for me and I’ve been amazed and how accurate it is with bullet drop. I just have to pick the right part of the appropriate circle and it’s game on every time. My only gripe all along was I had to reenter the scope (only Nikons), gun, and ammo selection every time I switched from slug gun, muzzleloader, and multiple rifles depending on the different game and phases of the hunting season. Now, I have a profile for each different firearm and scope in my safe. What a difference it makes to quickly switch to the profile I need when I head out instead putting in everything each time. Thanks Nikon!

  • Crashing issue
    by Rhb454 on February 27, 2019 at 3:10 am

Used to use the app all the time. It was good for matching ballistics to the scopes and also just checking ballistics of various rounds. But now the app crashes all the time and you can’t get to any of the data. Please fix this Nikon!

  • Unusable
by Erik & Nicole on February 26, 2019 at 12:00 am

App crashes constantly. In theory this would be a very useful app. Very disappointed that Nikon cannot fix the bugs.

  • Latest iOS causes app to crash
by yarberj on February 21, 2019 at 8:46 pm

I was using the app flawlessly a year ago. Since then, with the latest iOS updates, it crashes consistently. The support team needs to review the issues.

  • Still needs updated
by Boxxyyy on February 20, 2019 at 9:12 am

I like this app, but it keeps crashing on me. Deleted and reinstalled it, but still keeps crashing. Update. Nikon FINALLY responded to my emails. They assured that there is an updated version for the app. They are waiting on Apple to push it to the AppStore. But, this was almost 2 weeks ago.. Not sure what’s really going on now.

  • Spot On is full of bugs and crashes all the time
by Lacaramba on February 8, 2019 at 10:05 pm

First I’d like to say I own at least 4 Nikon scopes. The scopes are nice but their Spot On software does not work for me. I’ve got the latest IPhone XR phone with the latest software update (very recent). My Prostaff 3x9 rimfire II scope is not in the list so I chose the Prostaff 3x9 rimfire. I entered all the data in the software, choose fire button and it crashes back to the operating system or it just hangs up. I couldn’t get it to work with my previous IPhone 6 either. What is funny is that it works if I go to the Spot On web page. It just doesn’t work on the App. I hope they fix it with more robust code. I’m very disappointed. Plus I contacted support and they don’t have a clue it’s not working at all.

  • Love their scopes, not their app
by jakbobmilly on February 1, 2019 at 4:05 pm

Can’t even select the kind of ammunition with out it crashing.

  • Unusable
by SSttaannddeerrssoonn on January 31, 2019 at 3:33 am

Just got it and all it does is crash over and over again. Nikon should fix this, makes them look bad.

  • Works sometimes
    by hokie1187 on January 29, 2019 at 11:55 pm

You need to update this app! It does add the correct scope that’s chosen and force closes constantly! I have way to much money in Nikon scopes for this not to work! Fix it!!!!

  • Come on NIKON.
    by Firefrk1 on January 27, 2019 at 4:55 pm

You would think with a big company like this they could get this app right. Still crashes constantly. Hey guys read the reviews and fix the problem!!!!!!

  • Needs work
by pJï on January 24, 2019 at 11:30 pm

It would be nice if the ballistic table worked as well as being able to put in complete handload data

  • Crashes
by Oilfield doc on January 24, 2019 at 1:18 pm

I had been using the app with another Nikon scope, when I changed to the Rimfire it crashed. Now I can’t get any of them to work.
