They recently put user created content behind a paywall. I understand the adds while I study. But the paywall to the content I created is crap! It’s content I created and should not be used to extort money from me! Do not use this app. Use Learner or some other true studying app. I am truly disgusted with this shameless theft of user created content!!!!

Quizlet was great, but now with write gone and learn being subscription only the usefulness has really decreased

I love Quizlet! Gets me an A! BUT THEY MUST BRING BACK WRITE MODE! It is the only reason for me passing school. Write mode gets it in your brain. BRING IT BACK!

i understand making new features behind a paywall but ive been using quizlet for years and now you made the write feature under a paywall. if you really wanted to help students like you say you do you wouldnt take away features like this to put money into your greedy hands.

i use quizlet all the time for studying for my classes, but recently the “learn” mode has been taken away and restricted to premium users only. i understand that the company needs to make revenue, without learn mode (AND spelling mode- that’s gone too) it’s virtually useless for me to learn anything from my sets anymore. if you’re marketing to students like me, maybe don’t make us pay for the basic necessities that made quizlet so good in the first place.

Look I get that the service is free and that you really want users to pay to skip ads, but is it really necessary to not only have ads in the middle of a list of terms that makes it almost impossible not to accidentally tap to view with the slightest touch, BUT to also have ads in the middle of a flashcard session as a flashcard?

Please!! Bring back gravity for mobile.

I used to use this app almost everyday to study for classes. Now everything on here is monetized and there’s no point in sticking with Quizlet, especially when there are so many better, free options like Brainscape and Cram. So disappointed in Quizlet for exploiting students by monetizing a popular study tool.

This app used to be useful, and I’ve been an ardent user since 2016. It’s so unfortunate that I will have to find another studying app because of Quizlet hiding all of its features behind a paywall.

Bought the Quizlet+ option on Sunday, it’s been in crash mode ever since. Says “your search has timed out”. Won’t allow home, or search.

They’ve put the “Write” function behind a daily limit paywall and tried to lighten the blow of the money grab by using buzzwords like “empowering you to practice”. Interesting strategy but a bad one hopefully enough people advocate for the changing of it back to the way it was

I logged onto quizlet today to study for my spainish finals and I see they don’t have the writing study option anymore which I’m upset about because that’s what mainly helped me study and memorize all my stuff. PLEASE ADD IT BACK:(

This app on my iPhone 12 Pro is ruined due to switching to Dark Mode in the evening. I do realize that my iPhone is set to switch to Dark Mode at night but the app using Dark Mode makes the flash cards in my lesson unreadable. There should be a switch to opt-out in the Quizlet app settings or to adjust backgrounds. The latest release broke the leaderboard display after playing the timed Matchung Terms. I have a paid membership too.

I really love quizlet app.It helped me to improve my English a lot.But there is a room for improvement for it.If the app works with apple watches, it will be marvelous.Sometimes I want to open my flash cards and study them from my apple watch, but quizlet cannot operates in apple watches.Please improve apple watch version of the app🙏

Quizlet used to be a great study tool! Now they make you pay for things that used to be free! Now it is close to useless unless you pay for it.

I’ve used Quizlet since 2019 and it’s pretty much never failed. I could study for exams w/ 100 or 200+ terms w/ no problem but now i feel quizlets getting a bit stingy. Now you can only use learn for four rounds. After the four rounds are finished you have to upgrade to premium. Premium is about 8.00 dollars a month. That’s just absurd. It’s so ridiculous expensive. And I understand that you have to make money some how but 8 dollars a month?? (Yes I am aware of the 35 dollars a ur which id say is equally expensive) I understand the ads. I was totally fine w/ the ads for money reasons that made sense but now I can’t really study using Quizlet unless I want to pay 8 dollars a month or 35 a year. I would even b fine if it was 8 dollars a final purchase for premium. And on a side note I received a notification about the write section being transferred to a new location, the learn section. It’s not in the learn section it was simply taken away. And not to be rude or brash in my comments, but I’m just utterly disappointed with the way Quizlet has come to be. originally it was a rlly good app but now I see things have changed. Thankyou

I used to love this this app and I used it for years, but in the last few weeks they completely ruined it. They took away all of the free features like test and write. And even put a cap on how many times you can use learn! You can’t even use it anymore without having to paying for their so called premium service!

Love the app I wish it had more color to it like color sets to divide the subjects I’m studying.

You now have to pay a membership to review flash cards! This is terrible another way to crush students who are barely working part time. It used to be FREE now you have to pay 😡 it literally makes me so upset I’ve been using quizlet for years! Money hungry!

The app works well but the emails that they constantly send you saying stuff like “we miss you” “two day streak” it sends you so much emails that it’s borderline harassment my phone started overheating and it blew up and now I’m in the hospital with 3rd degree burns 🥵

don't get me wrong I used to love Quizlet but I recently got it again so I can continue my language studies but everything is locked off. O can't use learn mode more than 5 times. I can't take more than 1 test. What happened Quizlet? Not everyone has money these days, especially with COVID and gas prices.

Not to mention the increased amount of ads Quizlet has now required premium to use the learn feature. It’s clear this company is money hungry. I’m not paying for premium so I will no longer be using quizlet as the other feature are useless because I can make them by myself. This site has becomes pointless you pay for it and it’s really disappointing. I hope you change back to the way it used to be.

I am disappointed with “updates” implemented in both the app and the website. Please bring back the features of write and the gravity game. These were indispensable tools in my arsenal when it came to learning Russian, and now they are no longer available. I’m struggling to understand why these would be removed without at least offering reasonable alternatives.

For some unfathomable reason the creators decided to get rid of the writing option of studying which was the MOST helpful way for me personally. Why have less ways of studying than more?!?!?! Bring back that writing option my god 🙄

As a student, I have been using quizlet since about 2016. I used to love it. Though as time goes on, they keep taking away more and more features. They also are making you pay for features that they’ve had forever. I’m a broke college student. I shouldn’t have to pay for something I never had to pay for before!

Hi! Been a dedicated Quizlet user for years now for language studies. However, I just noticed today that the Write function has been removed and that is super unbueno. I need the repetition of the spelling of words multiple times in a row that the Write function offered. Is there anyway we can get this back, because if not this app will basically have no utility for me anymore.

I loved quizlet forever I’m a junior in college and have been using it since my freshman year of high school. I HATE that you have to pay for everything now. All of the features are gone flash cards are the only thing left now. I’m livid I would give 0 stars if I could.

I have used quizlet for all of my exams in school but due to the new update I am unable to use this app. Everything is limited and you have to by premium in order to do the games more than once. I am very disappointed!

A subscriber here devastated by the recent update. The developer just removed the “write” feature which was by far the most effective and favored method of learning in the app for lots of students preparing exams in certain industries. I always began with “learn” feature and then moved on to “write” to really nail down my memory before topping off with “test.” Yet, the most substantial feature was “write.” That’s the bread and butter of the app. Do the developers know how many users are using their app? I dont know. The “Write” feature of Quizlet was a differentiator, a unique offering only found in Quizlet. It was a well designed feature. Why did they remove it? I think Quizlet’s usefulness just plummeted for many students in some fields, as well as its competitive edge by removing such well thought out feature.

I like to listen to the flash cards auto play while I’m walking around or brushing teeth or doing yoga so I can keep learning hands free. However yesterday there was an update and that feature is no longer available. Please bring it back ASAP!

Where is the writing section? It is the most helpful tool.

Until today, I would have given Quizlet a five star rating without hesitation. I have been a loyal Quizlet user for at least the last five years, and have always bragged about what an amazing study tool it is. It made it so easy for me to memorize material, create study sets, and feel truly prepared for tests. But, with the most recent update, every single feature I love and value has been moved to premium use only - and my favorite feature of all has been completely done away with. No longer can you use learn mode to review content over and over, create tests to see how you are doing, or (my favorite that is completely gone) use the “write” feature to type things again and again and again until you’ve pounded them into your own head. And worst of all, the hours I have spent creating study sets for upcoming tests are pointless, as I can no longer use the features. Unless you want to pay for premium, Quizlet is just a basic flash card platform now. Everything that made it stand apart is gone. There are plenty of other flash card apps if you are looking for that. I no longer have any reason to recommend this one over other options.

Quizlet used to be really useful as I could easily customize how I study. However, the new update requires that you need to upgrade to quizlet plus. They claim that the first time using a form of studying (ex. their test option) is a free trial “on them”. Lies. It used to be free for as many times as you wanted. I’m extremely dissatisfied and I hope that they either make quizlet plus cheaper, or add free alternatives for studying.

Quizlet used to be fantastic. I could do so well on exams after studying, and their algorithm did help. They no longer allow shuffling on Learn mode and they got rid of the write function and the gravity game, which I used a lot. I’ve been an active Quizlet plus user going on 10 years now, since I’ve been using it since about the 7th grade and I’m pursuing a doctorate now. I’m highly disappointed and will most likely be cancelling my plus subscription when it’s up.

Grossly ignorant idea getting rid of write mode; it’s the only feature I used so I won’t be a premium subscriber anymore and will be using another app entirely from this point forward. I’m learning a language that uses a different alphabet do the Write feature was more useful than any of the others. There was literally zero reason to get rid of it.

Some settings you get a question then 4 random answers , the correct answer and three others that are TOTALLY unrelated to that question. Lame. In another setting the correct answer pops up and you have to guess the question. Since a good number of my questions are True/False, yo get a lot of each popping up where you presumably guess which false or true question it corresponds with. This format would be DIMPLE to structure in a useful, educational way. This ain’t it.

i've used quizlet off and on over the years for my language studies and hadn't for a while until i recently decided to use it as a supplement to anki for words that had a hard time sticking to my brain. i do enjoy that there are many different ways to get the info in our decks into our brain, like with the test/learn feature, and the matching game. but it's really disappointing to see more and more features being taken from the free version and made exclusive to the paid version, which i'll also add, has gotten more expensive. most recently i noticed it was the feature that told us how well we knew certain words. and it shows how much the people behind this app care more about making an extra buck or two with constant ads despite it being a distraction from learning. i'd be much more willing to pay them to remove ads and get the plus features if the payment was more like "give us this smallish one-time fee and we'll never bother you again" than having to pay an entire year at a time.

So much !! It is so helpful and that I can just whip it out and start studying whatever i need!!
