    I don’t go on the app all the time, but when I do, I get logged out and have to log in again, and I’m getting annoyed with having to log in every time I want to check my progress or see how long until my next aligner switch.

    So far so good! I love that I can keep track of everything on the app and I don’t have to go to appointments and it works on my time. Super convenient. I see the difference and it’s an exciting journey!

    Smile direct club is a scam and waste of money. My teeth have barely shifted. I started in February and here it is august and they’re “still treating me” and charging me extra for it. If your teeth are really bad then go with traditional braces.

    This app must have reminded me twice in the whole of my plan to change out my aligners. I just waited for the text alerts to come through instead. When you come to the last three sets, the app doesn’t even know they exist, so you’re completely on your own. The guides are included in the box and there’s no helpful information on your account here, so this app is utterly useless. Save your storage space for a few extra photos in your phone instead.

    The app itself does not work. Had to use the website. Unfortunately the app was indicative of the product itself. They ship you product to make two molds. I knew one of my top molds was not great and was glad I had a second. They sent me aligners using the not so great impression. It didn’t fit all that great but I went it. About half way through treatment it wouldn’t stay on at all. I contacted support using the website because the app would not work and they said to keep going with treatment and they would send new Aligners. I thought, great they will finally fit! After 3 weeks passed I finally received the new aligners but so much time had passed I had already progressed to two more sets so the new ones were useless. Next to the last week and they tell you it’s time buy retainers. Like an idiot I bought three. The top one would not fit at all (surprise). I contacted support again and they asked for new pictures. I sent new pictures and never heard back. I did however receive a survey and I said I would highly not recommend their product. They followed up and asked why and I stated the facts above. They said someone would be in touch to fix the retainers and I am still waiting (3 months and counting but not holding my breath). If even one person doesn’t use SDC based on this review then my time writing it has been well served. TLDR: You get what you pay for. I should have bought Invisalign.

    As I am on aligned #5 ….my most noticeable shift occurred during 1 & 2 aligners not much if any since …. My reason for a Review early on is Smile Direct offers a considerable savings for you the consumer if you are able to pay for your treatment in FULL ….Straight away when you either order online , or as I did , went in for an appointment/ consultation before my decision to actually move forward . Okay…I knew this was something I wanted do … while my ultimate goal was ever slight , I knew I wanted it corrected . As a child I had braces , in edition to some extensive bite correction made by my dentis at age 16… I know teeth & gums do loosening & shift as we age & thanks to cell phone America & the use of cell camera …and the day of the SELFIE I saw something I felt needed correction and SMILEDirect Club was as far as I looked & I signed up. So ….here’s where my review begins ..BEWARE ****BEWARE ! The offer is good and the PAY OFF in the first month is a savings Of $4 to $5 HUNDRED DOLLARS and that is a substantial savings ..for me it’s great because my treatment should be completed in 4 months, not including after care and retainer cost …. POINT.? I wanted the savings , but trying to protect myself … I don’t usually pay for anything , well that’s over 1k without having something for the $$… so I was told , after an. In office $250 deposit, I had 30 days to pay my balance of $$ for a savings reduction of 4 to 5 hundred…or make monthly payments for 24 at $87 WONDERFUL then that’s what I am going to do .! And two weeks later while I was waiting on my purple box to be delivered I went online , downloaded the app and set up my personal SMILEDIrect portal and got acquainted with was expected of me and the commitment I made to correct my shifted smile . Went to the payment plan of SmileDirectClub and this is where one of us was not working for the other and I , this was my choice , needed to use 2 types of payments to complete pay off and be free and clear of having a MONTHLY PAYMENT , so at the end of four months…well….how easy is this …I’m stoked ! Nope…not so fast 💨….first …don’t use two types of payments with y Our account and ….if you want a savings …and don’t mind spending a couple grand and leaving and waiting on services rendered then PAY OFF WHILE SITTING THERE-AND DO NOT…. REPEAT !!! Do NOT LEAVE THE SMILE DIRECT CLUB without a receipt ! Once I needed to break up payment types, I was screwed, it took almost another week to finalize transaction, the person I spoke to with smileD WAS AWESOME, but I got bounced back in forth a couple of time , and then asked if they could call me back because they couldn’t handle what I needed , this from a “ FINANCE COMPANY “ that handles the FINANCE end for SMILEDIRECTCLUB … Which I was thinking I’m not financing anything, why can’t I pay off my account w/ the company I’m doing business with ? Not up to me though , but at this point I needed to complete this transaction to save my money , especially since a 4 month program should fly by and I’ll be stuck making payments for something that has long since been over with….RIGHT…? Any guesses …WRONG ….. After ..I don’t know how long…speaking with a person that found my request very very difficult . This person in INDIA was completely hard to understand, and me on a cell phone , a language barrier, distance, and two ..two DEBIT CARDS for making one payment was just more than this person in FINANCE could really handle on their busy day… So that is why I needed a call back the first round , and I was under the impression I’d get another person on the line that knew how to take debit card payments over the phone and this wouldn’t take long ….WRONG… They, whom ever MJ… was on the other end wasn’t feeling secure about how to …with my payment methods. I insisted I get an immediate receipt 🧾 for the payment they collect …. WHAT…? they ask …WHAT U WANT? A receipt for the money you just deducted from my two accounts..? Oh yes… will..after …ok payment made and then I was told 10 to 14 business days I’ll get a receipt…well no that not ok…manager …do you have a manager I can speak with RIGHT NOW, WE ARE DONE TALKING…NO…ok… will get a receipt in 3 days …WELL…ok… not what I thought fair , but I’m was losing my sense of humor, and I knew this wasn’t good, and I knew that EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED WOULD HAPPENED….. BUT…IF I wait it may take another week + or I could forget and be stuck with out savings and this savings for me was Important .. Well….seems both payments did in fact get REMOVED from the two accounts, and…I am also making monthly payments …for services already paid for in full - because I guess…. SmileDirectClub did confirm they could see two payments the split balance , the person saw them because he read to me each amount of the two payments , and no one could know that amount as it wasn’t 50/50 split…. But, acknowledged my pymts & ON MONDAY …I needed to call finance ask them why I was deducted a monthly fee of $87….and that should clear the matter up for you and REFUND payment then…. Well …Still making payments …. Since they don’t see anywhere at all that I paid it off and if I’d send them screen shots to smiledirect then they’ll see what to do next …huh . Funny thing is …why do I even need FINANCE when I’m paying SmileDirectClub for …and why can’t finance see where its paid for but I have To deal with finance overseas for something they can’t see?. And why not send them pics of my “ Bank Statements” ? I used prepaid cards in case These types of opps happen and , well oh well … long story even ….LONGER ….. don’t presume , which I did not, that because you paid smile direct for your treatment and ur ALIGNERS…that they won’t find a way to continue making money .. Off YOU….. IF you want nice teeth and a nice smile…. PROTECT YOURSELF FIRST … ITS THE AMERICAN WAY 🇺🇸 & good luck 👍🏽

    At first the app would just make me log in every time I opened it. I thought it was annoying but still brushed it off. Besides this slight bug it still sent notifications for when I should switch. I’m currently on set nine and the past two sets it hasn’t alerted me. Having previously relied on the alert I ended up wearing these sets weeks longer than I needed to. I’m tired of constantly having to “get back on track”. Please fix this 😕

    This was a great app when I first started with my aligners - It would remind me when I was to change my aligners. But I stopped getting reminders and now when I open it there is no progress showing which aligner I am on, instead it shows me that I can download the app to keep track… ummm I am on the app! I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still it is isn’t showing my progress. I ended up chatting with a customer service rep and she got on my account and updated what aligner I am on and the date started - she also suggested I uninstall the app and reinstall which I did again and still suggests I get the app. She also stated I can just get on the computer and pull up my account that way. Kind of defeats the purpose of an app - oh well

    App is good in that it does what it should, but I’ve had this for 2 months and have had to go update it 5 times already. Each time you have to log back in. Why can’t this just update like other apps and keep you logged in?

    I’ve had my aligners for three weeks and it says they are still being made. It says to go to the app when you get them… then the app says to go to the site. It’s back and forth! I’m so sad I was excited about using the app.

    Wish list: 1. Push notifications that let me know when to change my Aligners that can be configured to day of or day before. 2. A different “back on track” UX. Why do I have to remember which date I changed over? Could there be a “I missed a day” feature that just bumps the schedule back one day? Pros: Beautiful UI, simple navigation, easy to find faqs. Keep it up!

    Worst App in the history of apps. It won’t even start and hasn’t for days . Even when I turned my phone off and back on and redownloaded the app. It’s pure garbage.

    I use my iPad Pro all the time - this app opens in portrait - really not usable. When you make an iPhone app, can’t you just make an iPad compatible version?

    I'm talking to support for 1 month about the app that doesn't work for me, when I open the app the following message appears “Oops, couldn’t load view. It seems something went wrong. Try again”. And they never solve that problem for me.

    Disappointed with the company as a whole, but I’ll keep the review relevant to the app. This app is super inconvenient because you have to login through an Internet browser every single time because it always logs you out. They never give you any cleaning tips for your retainers other than buying more of their products. I’ve come up with multiple ways that work just fine that they never mention. The app is very plain and rarely, if ever, updated.

    I just got my aligners in the mail today, and I am so eager to start my treatment! I registered my aligners, and decided to try the SDC app to best keep me on track. The app installed perfectly fine, and allowed me to sign in, but that’s it. It won’t show my profile, my dashboard, or progress. It just simply won’t work.

    I got the app to keep track with my aligners and chat with my orthodontist, and it does a good job of that, but the app I feel like has some bugs. It’s really slow when it comes to opening up, and I can’t see which aligners I’m on through the app bc it just won’t load, I just have SmileDirectClub send me emails bc this app seems like it needs a little more updates.

    The app is very convenient and explains a lot for you but that’s only when the app works... half of the time when I try to get on the app, it just keeps swirling. But other than that it’s very convenient!

    I started my aligners a week ago. About 3-4 days prior to them arriving I was curious if an app existed and I found this one and downloaded it with no problems. I attempted to check in my aligners but would get a message stating that I’d have to call or chat. I still receive this message. So after multiple chats and phone calls reporting the issue and now on week two, the app still reflects me not having checked in. To add insult to injury there was a ‘case’ to fix the issue which has gone nowhere and apparently was closed because I received an email. It does reflect via the website I’ve checked in but after spending $2000 at least the app should work.

    Keeping track of when I need to change my aligners has been really helpful. Super easy to use and seeing my progress is exciting. My two teenage kids are about to start and I’m glad this exists to help them actually stay on track.

    The thought of straightening my teeth didn’t even cross my mind because of how expensive it was. Smile Direct Club made it affordable and seamless to get the smile I always dreamed of. Highly highly recommend 🙏😁🙌

    Yes!!! an app. I actually just started (two weeks ago) my process and when I first went to get my 3D scan, there was no app! but now there is!!! So I really like how there’s an in-app Live 24/7 Support chat! it was very practical and nice. If there’s a line it tells you what place you’re in which is a nice feature. Customer Service provided was very nice and they answered my questions! I can now have push-notifications to remind me when to change my aligners! They have common concerns answered, tips & tricks, how-to on most things. I really love the app it was well made.
