Waste of time. It is very stressful with ads popping up every few minutes with rolling ads that are very distracting and disturbing and certainly do not help with stress relief just make you more stressful also when you try to rate it automatically goes to 5 stars and will not let you change. Records response without checking if it is right

  • Great app
by Wiedo that is wierd on February 27, 2019 at 5:59 pm

Ok so it’s a great app but the Christian who already made a review and was kinda hating on the atheist. Maybe you could mind your own business, I think it’s a great idea to have like a option for no God quotes and stuff like that. You don’t have to tell other people that there religion is wrong, because guess what, there’s people that don’t believe in your God!!!

  • Calming
    by riverbanks42 on January 7, 2019 at 12:44 am

Relaxing. Just don’t pay attention to quotes I don’t agree with or seem just plain wrong. Photos good enough to just meditate on

  • A Lift
by liftme on July 19, 2018 at 9:23 pm

Quick easy reads when I need a break or a lift. The photo selections are peaceful. Some of the quotes I can relate with, others not, I just move on to the next. Thank you.

by Marfamarfamarfa on July 23, 2017 at 9:03 am

Too many quotes referencing stress and telling you what not to do. Too little that's uplifting or points you in a positive direction.

  • Buddha but not Jesus?
by richmahn on July 3, 2016 at 3:50 pm

I flipped through this at least 40 sayings and surprised not one to see a quote from the One who created us and stepped into history to show us the way and save us from sin, with worry being one of them. That is Jesus, the One who even created Buddha, yet no credit and glory to Him? “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” -Jesus ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬ “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” -Paul ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ To the atheist who left a review and doesn't like how God who made you is at least mentioned in this app: as one who believes we are just an accident and are animals (quite far from the truth), why must apps and the world cater to your blind, depressing belief? A painting a building, an iPhone or the universe and every atom itself can't have a creator? Think again, and examine yourself and your sin.

  • Change of perspective…
    by wes576349 on June 20, 2016 at 6:42 pm

I really like this antistress app. The change of perspective that these quotes can give is amazing! I do wish that it could go into landscape view on my iPad. The app is very easy to use.

  • Good for "fretting," not as a serious anxiety reducer
    by bauble217 on May 1, 2016 at 2:10 pm

I was surprised that there were so many 4 and 5 star reviews, as this app needs some major content adjustment. I was disappointed that the overall tone of the quotes was condescending, not reassuring. Quotes along the lines of "if you think your stress can change a past or future event, you are functioning on a different planet" are not what anyone wants to hear in a stressful situation. They are dismissive and make the person feel even more insane for not being perfectly stress free. To be fair, not stressing about things that you cannot change is sage and true advice, but in moments of true anxiety (eg: the onset of a panic attack, recalling a traumatic event, etc) or situations where stress is a natural response for most people (preparing for a big exam, public speaking event, etc), quotes that belittle or dismiss stress as unimportant make the reader feel even more isolated and incapable of handing the stress. Stress is a natural human response to events that we perceive as dangerous. It becomes problematic when our brains apply the stress response to situations that are scary but pose no real bodily danger. Rather than dismissing the stress as useless, unhealthy, or abnormal, it would be better to see more quotes that remind frequent stressers to accept their stress as natural and move past it. Quotes like "stress takes a toll on your body as well as your mind" (paraphrasing) are absolutely unhelpful. The person stressing likely already knows that they are putting their heart, mind, and body at risk by having anxiety. Reminding them only makes them stress out more by making them feel like they are incapable of taking care of themselves. The underlying message of this app: "stop stressing, or else" is actually very harmful to anxiety-ridden people and not recommended as a sound psychological approach by any practice I am aware of. Quotes that express the message: "you are going to be okay despite your stress" would be much more helpful and actually minimize stress in the long run. Overall, if you just want a little kick in the butt to not get distracted by little daily stressors, then this app may work for you. If, however, you are suffering from anxiety or are in a seriously stressful position and looking for some helpful words to get you through, I cannot recommend this app. The philosophies behind the messaging are unsound, and will only unsettle the already anxious.

  • Dependable Inspiration Here
by portion comptroller on February 14, 2016 at 3:17 am

Most of the competitors have repeats and duds very often but not this one. Great quotes from great sources. Every. Single. Time. My only complaint is the sort of ugly color palette for the quote backgrounds, but I figure dome day they will change it. It's well worth it though. Thanks!

  • Quick reset

    Quick and easy morale boost.

  • At least it was free
    by Mo_Mo_Mel on November 14, 2015 at 3:53 pm

I don't find these quotes helpful. Some are all right but many are stress-shaming. For instance, 'stress is a sign of weakness' or 'stress is misinterpreting circumstance; it is ignorant' and 'each stressful episode ages you and cannot be undone.' Sometimes bad things happen, and sometimes stress is legitimately activated. Sometimes, after a long and difficult period, we click to download a free app to help comfort and inspire us. But this app basically told me I was an idiot for getting stressed, it was unfounded to become stressed, and I will forever be older for having been stressed. Thanks, app. I hope you app and quote makers enjoy your world where stress is unnecessary, nonexistent, and certainly not a vital aspect of human survival as it is on my planet.

I'm huge on quotes and wrote one in every card I send via snail mail. Needless to the app! Great quotes and the app works great.

  • Love the quotes...Just one problem
by Steptree on August 22, 2015 at 4:58 pm

I purchased this app and was really enjoying the quotes and feeling all inspired and lifted up. And then popped up a quote by Toni Morrison that had a profanity word in it. Totally killed my moment. But I continued to read the other quotes and tried to forget about that one. I really wish the company would remove that one and any other that may have profane words in them. This is totally not in sync with all the other quotes. But overall, I do like this app, with that one exception.

Thank you for the encouragement this is all I need to get rid of my panic atacks

  • Appreciate the effort, but...
    by R25L on March 10, 2015 at 12:37 am

The quotes are overall very helpful for when you're feeling low, but it's insanely discouraging as an atheist to see so many "prayer" and "god" quotes. Maybe have a filter (for preferred or undesired tags), or put religious quotes in their own drop-menu, or just take those ones out to keep it neutral (which would probably be less desirable for others, though). It's just very demoralizing (for lack of better term) to see so much mention of a god for an atheist; it feels a bit invalidating and anticlimactic to the overall point of this app. Other than that, as said, good quotes.

  • Relaxing and eye-opening content, but..

  • great for mood improvement
by I am your customer on December 26, 2014 at 4:25 pm

I like reviewing these quotes when I'm in need of a mood lift. the app is simple and effective... and free!! some quotes resonate with me more than others and I mark those as favorites. you can review only your favorites, or all quotes by toggling the 'all/fav' button. I do wish there were content updates as I've gone through all the quotes many times, maybe even letting users add quotes the find or come up with themselves.

  • Awesome!!!

I love this app. The words of wisdom are great. Good food for thought!!
