I would really like to give this game a high rating, and I am still enjoying playing it. The concept, the characters, and the islands—and the tasks—are engaging. But for those who do not want to pay, it is slow going to make progress through the games. There are so many tasks to do challenges across different islands, and it is so hard to get energy, that it seems to take forever to get anything done. Just to clear a path usually takes all of the energy I accumulated over several minutes, and I’m back to zero again. Moreover, although there are lots of little gifts and bonuses, it usually takes as much energy to get the energy as you receive. I watch plenty of ads...if the developers would loosen up on the energy it would be a lot more fun. I have been on the verge of giving up a couple of times. In some games, like EverMerge, it gets easier to get energy as one moves up. If this game did that, it would be a lot less frustrating.
The best way to play this game at first is to come on in the morning and again at night because the worst part of this game is you need so much energy to break a rock or clay etc. and the energy takes forever to build back up. I still find energy an issue. Which is why I gave it a 4. I still can’t break the biggest rocks because my people are not hungry enough to eat enough for me to get enough energy to break the rock. It doesn’t allow you to break it in parts either like some games do.
The main problem I have is that it takes so long to get specific items that are needed. Eventually I have to get rid of stuff to make room for the new. It’s just very time consuming
I really like this game but the balance between wait times seems off. This really irritates me. I’ve been playing for a while now and I’ve had quests for months...
Like I’ve read on the other reviews on this game it’s a lot of fun at the beginning but when you get higher up in level it gets harder and harder to get enough energy to do anything in the game. I spend more time waiting for energy than I do playing in the game. This game is definitely pay to play. In order for you to get enough energy to do anything in this game you have to pay to buy more energy to play. Personally to make this game better for those of us that are stuck on a budget and can’t afford to spend a lot of money into the game the special decorating pieces that you get for completing an island quest that produces energy should be a permanent energy producing object that you get to keep and use. Right now they only give you a limited number of days of energy and then it stops and then that decorative piece is no good for anything anymore except for A decorative piece on your island. Also, I completed the Thanksgiving island quest and grab the cornucopia decoration piece and put it in my storage and then when the quest ended and they shut down that island I went into my Storage to grab that decorative piece and put it on my island it wasn’t in there. Which was a very disappointing. I spent all that time and effort to get it you think I’d be able to keep that decorative piece for my island. To make this game better and more rewarding for your customers you need to produce more decorative pieces that produce energy as a reward for completing your island quest and that will keep most of us people happy. And happy customers are more willing to buy things off your store.
I love this game. It’s super cute, fun & has great graphics. Yes, it takes forever to create/build things. Yes, a few times I’ve made things & they’ve disappeared requiring me to remake them, but overall it’s fun. It’s not a game to hurry up & complete, which is one thing I like about it. Some games you can hurry up & finish, then that’s it. As long as the “bugs” stay manageable, I’ll be playing this game for awhile.
The last treasure island was impossible to clear. Also my fountain will not update. Not sure what is going on but I have seen other reviews regarding same issue. Fun time killer but has some glitches in it.
I don’t like this game because they’re asking for a lot of things but they just don’t give it to you! Like so much treasures but you cannot open them.... they asking for so much energy just to clear up space
It takes way too long to recover energy when playing and resources require too much energy. It is a fun game and I could see myself becoming very addicted to it if you could progress further in between waiting for more energy. There’s no point in buying gems because the resources take too many. I’m sure people would spend more time and real money on this game if progress could be made easier. 👎
I love the app but wish there were more was to collect energy/lightning bolts. I find myself not attempting the extra festivals do to lack of energy hitch significantly effects completion of said event. It takes lots o energy to do just a little then you wait for recharge and hope you can collect extra energy. Quite often I skip working on the big ticket items, ( rocks, clay, big trees, etc) which I am sure takes away adventure in the game. Would really be great if items weren’t so “costly” and you could do more with your limited energy. Maybe more bonus gifts to charge up. I know those are strategic ways to get people to buy things and make money, but I am a finicky consumer.
I really like this game but it takes forever to do anything and to level up. I wish they update the game so ppl can enjoy it while playing more often. Reducing time to make stuff would be great.
I was playing this game some on my mom’s device, so I thought I’d just get my own island and family on my IPad Air. Turns out, it doesn’t work on my device, even though it says compatible in the App Store. Such a bummer. Way it doesn’t work is that it keeps exiting game before I can do anything. Like as soon as I click on the girl so she can talk, right at the start of the game, it closes out. If I log back in, sometimes it lets her say one thing before it closes out again. But it’s constantly closing out of the game so I can’t do anything. Sadly I have to uninstall. Please work on your compatibility!
Before you begin playing this game be aware they are a money grabbing game. Energy and items are difficult to come by. If you do not pay for extra tools you effectively cannot play. They put items needed out of reach so they can get $$. This one is really a racket!
First of all I would like to say congrats on building a good game, until you actually level up a few times. Then it becomes so bogged down in waiting and waiting for a little energy just to perform only a tiny bit of work. And there is so much work to be done, and it is actually fun! If only you could accomplish any forward progress. I am intrigued and excited your game but you have squashed my enthusiasm by dragging the game out so long. Too much energy required even to proceed at a snail’s pace is discouraging. You have great competition out there, it is beyond my comprehension why you discourage play to the point people go elsewhere.
It has a cute design and characters. While the storyline and gameplay is pretty basic, it’s nice for some mindless tasks while on a train or waiting for an appointment. Lots of ads if you want to get ahead without paying 😉
I enjoy playing this game, and building everything up, but I found that you do need to concentrate on one item at a time in order to get anywhere with the upgrades. I like the ability to travel to other islands as well, it makes for a better experience when you have to go to where the resource is. The ads in game for extra resources aren’t bad at all (same random google ads), they pop up periodically and you don’t get stuck watching too many at a time. Much better than many other games with ads in them. It is very slow to restore energy, and it gets used up really quickly, but you can speed it up, and even exceed your max to a point, by producing food items and collecting bonus energy. Energy is available for purchase as well, indirectly. (Buy rubies which you can use to buy energy) I think the system is solid, but could benefit from a speed up in the regeneration. The natural resources do regenerate in game as well, but it does seem a little off to me - stone and clay regenerate almost daily, but trees can take some time, and the resources reappear in odd places, not where they were harvested from. Ive had huge deposits of clay show up next to buildings with no warning, in the middle of the camp I’ve built. Used it up pretty quick, though. I do, however, have a problem with the merchant (I’d personally like to kill him in a horrible way, and the shaman too, for that matter...they’re greedy monsters) where in order to get the key items, you have to fill orders, which means give him all the stuff you’ve collected for the day and you still have to scramble to get stuff, and the shaman may ask for everything you’ve collected over several days. Unfortunately they are the only source for certain items and sometimes those items are required to upgrade buildings....it’s really unbalanced and makes me feel cheated. It only gets worse as you level up, too. I found that stuff I was collecting for an upgrade would get drained completely away filling their orders, as they’re called in game. I’ve just started refusing to trade unless I’m stuck and need one of those items. It’s extortion, really. That’s why it’s I only give it 3 stars, otherwise I’d rate it at 4.4 (of 5). I use 1 star for the worst games, 3 is average, and 5 is the perfect game with no flaws at all.
I absolutely love this game! I find all the tests pretty easy and fun to do, I wish that time frame was a little shorter or that every time you upgraded your storage it was more than just what it is.. Maybe also have some tasks that you can earn Rubys along with stars and power. Changes: I think it would be awesome if we could rotate the buildings to better lay out you village. I like moving things around. Maybe we could combine all the baskets, per garden items or the chance to put in main storage or a basket in the village
I know mine looks a little suckish But I love my island and so do they the girl just lost a bet to eating berries to her brother and I just did a Christmas update with the game I know today is January 12, 2021 and I know Christmas was a long time ago but who can’t go without Santa am I right now let’s get back to the farm land...I’ve been working a lot and a lot of them I like to work although I’m the one who does most of it.Now, you can change your avatar just click on the thing with the person that you have and you can change it to a girl an animal or a boy maybe even a baby if they have that update, Let’s get back to business, I’m trying to upgrade their homes and their work so that they can get a little more energy and stay healthy so that they don’t get coronavirus, my island will be the best I just want them to go swimming one day I love my island they are working hard, download this game now, This is your island work hard and take care of your people love your island and your people stay safe don’t get COVID-19 I love y’all a lot please stay safe, Build your island and download this game now.
This game has a lot of advantages... cute graphics, cute story, good scenery. But the thing is, there’s barely any play in the game. I will wait a couple of hours for my energy to recharge and two thorn bushes and I’m done. Literally 30 seconds of game time for a two hour wait. This game needs work to be anywhere near as good as MyCafe.
I love this game until level 19. At that level, one is to upgrade the totem. Well I did, but the game will not recognize this feat, so now I can’t progress.
I’m just starting this game out and I’m highly motivated to play it. However I already hit a snag. There’s no salt. The game doesn’t seem to reset the starfish after time and so I only have 69 energy to complete all the tasks. I deleted the game after being so frustrated with not having enough stamina to cut down some big trees I need. Ugh. Salt is essential to good game okay. Developers. Please fix.
Unless you are willing to spend large amounts of money to play this game, it’s nearly impossible to complete any of the challenges or quests. There isn’t a way to generate energy quick enough to do anything. They need to loosen up a little to make it enjoyable.
The game starts out fun but then the energy cost to do anything brings the game to a screeching halt. You wait hours to refill energy only to be able to do one or two things and then wait again. Will slog it out a little longer but probably will delete this game.
I am on the cusp of loving this game. Maybe I’m missing how to play but each time I login, I can do two or three things and then I have to wait for hours for my energy to be refilled. I’m either missing something or the energy to task ratio is absolutely terrible. Special events: we have 3 days to complete but it takes 70 energy to remove one tree... impossible. I’d need a solid week or two to be able to complete the treasure island.
I like the game...but the process is very slow...you need so many items just to finish your task it starts getting frustrating. Which doesn’t make it very fun. You should be able to purchase more animals to speed the process along. There should be more opportunities to earn specialty items that just the Shaman holds. I know it is designed by the developers to encourage the purchase of gems but to be able to play the game without purchasing gems is daunting. Seems like you are just spinning your wheels trying to finish one upgrade.
I enjoy playing, but there seems to be long stretches between obtaining resources to actually play. I think it will be good for a while but I think I’ll probably get bored with it soon
Not a bad game but the treasure islands I ignore as it would take money to finish it. Also your ads to get more energy don’t work half the time. You watch the entire ad and it locks up at the end and you don’t receive the energy. I just focus on the main island and the untimed islands to complete quests. Also most games increase your energy limit as you level but this one you need to upgrade your house which eventually you need candles which are extremely hard to get. Fun if you like to play a few minutes every hour unless you dump money into it....not fun enough for me. Instead of charging for rubies to buy energy, why don’t you charge to increase the energy rate or max energy ?
It was fun in the beginning, but as soon as you deviate from the system goals or surpass a goal before it is created, you don’t get credit for it. Waste of money and poorly constructed—-not impressed.
This has so many issues I don’t know where to start. First of all your energy is spent way to gas because everything cost to much in energy to get done. Secondly the rate that your energy replenishes is way to slow so then you get stalled in the game and can’t advance. It’s a total of 15 second of game play then you have to wait for several hours before you can do anything else. DON’T WAIST YOUR TIME!!!!
This game is fun, but it I haven’t been able to play because the app gets stuck on its opening load screen. Usually takes at least 5 minutes to load if it does manage to load.
Hardly ever fully loads, sometimes won’t even open. For the few times I had loaded it goes straight to them walking around on an island and when I touch my screen it says I need to complete the tutorial and then it forces close. I tried reinstalling but it does the same thing. It’s a shame. It looks like a fun game. 😔
I really like the game concept and graphics but, you can’t get anywhere without shelling out a lot of money. I’m one that will pay but, this is over the top. You can only cut down 1 item for each max energy. Not worth it at all.
Game won’t even load it closes 😐 wanted to try it 😒
