Great concept for an update of a retro favorite. Unfortunately I ended up deleting it as you are literally forced to watch anywhere from 1-3 video ads in between EVERY single level. This remake had the potential to be as popular and addictive as angry birds but the developers have ruined it with their greed for ad dollars and in game purchases. Huge letdown!

Pretty much the best game. However, it seemed like the kind of game where there’s a sandbox mode, or at least you get to make some levels. I know this isn’t so much a review as it is two suggestions, but please take that stuff into consideration. Thanks! And keep on Lemming!

I have recently upgraded from an iPhone 11 to a 12 pro. Ever since then I can’t get the app to open. It starts to open and then it just disappears. I tried updating the app and that didn’t work. This is the only app I am have problems with since updating. I tried sending a message on the website but that doesn’t work either. I’d really like to continue playing this game.

It’s 30 years later and this game does not come close to the original lemmings. It’s not Lemmings, period. It’s just a game where you save lemming like creatures in a very uninteresting settings... if you need more to turn you off to this game, it has in app purchases. NOT LEMMINGS.

Game progresses with minimal increase in difficulty. Can only play a few boards each day unless you pay real money to increase energy. If you can, find the original game from the 90’s and enjoy it.

Always try’s to get you to buy or watch ads. Bring back daily soon without having to pay or watch adds.

When I downloaded this game and started playing it I loved it. The game play is excellent, but $47 a year subscription?? Really? It’s a mobile game... deleted.

Definitely not like the classic I remember playing as a kid in the early 90s. But it’s definitely fun for sure

The game is good for a little entertainment. As others have pointed out, you can burn through your energy pretty quickly, and then be done for awhile. The new update does have several more screens asking for money or watching adds each time you finish a level.

Too many ads and expensive

The developers keep finding more things to charge players for. Now I have to watch an ad for the daily spin? C’mon now.

I love it because it brings back memories, but you keep offering stuff via ads... and then it crashes every time so I get nothing.

Bogus pay for spin and get eggs? Are you kidding? No longer any daily free spin you must watch an ad to get one spin. Thieves like your sponsors.

I was really enjoying this game til last week. Then it just got annoying. The daily spin wants me to watch an ad now, or it just flips to a black screen and I have to close the game and reopen. The ads that I do choose to watch to earn eggs or other items produce nothing. I waste time on stupid, I an ads and then it exits to the game and the promised reward doesn’t exist. Don’t waste time on this game. I’ve been expecting them to KNOW there is a problem and fix it. But no.

This game is fun but the developers have taken away the extra daily spin, they’ve taken away the resurrect in the daily spin. These are things you now have to pay for and they aren’t cheap. They have made this game less fun by doing this stuff. Due to these reasons and several others I won’t be playing the game anymore.

Decent game. Sometimes the little fellas don’t listen to the badges you apply. Stop or use the badge and then not do it costing you energy. Then let’s talk about $$$$. They want to make it only so that you have to spend your money and not the game gold to purchase things. You can buy eggs but to get more energy they want you to spend $$. Want two hours of energy? $$ instead of 5000 gold. Want to learn the new tricks?? Nope, can’t use gold but they will gladly take that cash and nothing else.

lemmings is a very great game and honestly 0 complaints! Its a nice game, barely any ads. I like how the tutorials dont treat u like a baby, ummm also the fact that you earn awards often(for free) and they dont keep bugging you about all the V.I.P rewards or stuff you can buy. But honestly its probs my favorite game! 10/10 do recommend!

I quite enjoy this game and the frequent updates usually seem to be helpful. However, they took the daily spin for the goodie wheel and turned it into either a “watch video for reward” or pay, which is silly

Catch-22 You must watch ads in order to claim rewards. Catch is: the game frequently crashes after you have watched the ads. Then you don’t get the reward. Even worse, sometimes, in this latest version (season 25) the crashes result in a permanent crash loop. When you try to restart the game, it loads, and then crashes. Loads, and then crashes. Loads, and then crashes. You have to delete the app, re-download and try again. Then you have to go through the tutorial again and pray that it will restart. If not, delete and retry again. At present, I cannot even play because of the permanent crash loop. I play on an iPad Pro 12.9” device. The game itself is a great game, but there are far too many ads and glitches for it to be a 2,3,4 or 5-star game. I prefer games with fewer or no ads. I guess I’ll go back to playing Command And Conquer Red Alert 2 for Windows 98 on my PC. No ads, no crashes, and still a great game. If I still had my Windows 95 machine, I’d play my copy of Lemmings. Or the original Warcraft. Regards, The old gamer

This is literally my favorite game I’ve played in years. I actually deleted it because I’m sick of of WATCHING ADS AND NOT GETTING THE REWARDS THAT WERE PROMISED. The daily spin which was a great feature LOST HALF OF THE HELPFUL ITEMS YOU COULD WIN. You used to be able to spin the reward wheel and then watch an ad to spin again BUT THEN YOU WOULD WATCH THE AD AND THEY WOULDN'T LET YOU SPIN AGAIN. NOW YOU CAN’T EVEN SPIN THE WHEEN WITHOUT WATCHING AN AD. What a disappointment. Taking one of the best games and totally ruining it by being money hungry and littering it with ads that don’t deliver the promised rewards

I love this game. I spend too much time and money on it. But when I went to log into it today, I got an ad when I clicked the bonus wheel. So.... that’s not cool. I don’t play games that throw ads at me every time I turn around.

I get it... You need to make money to be successful. There are several ways this game does that. They however now taken away a free daily spin and now if you want the spin, you are forced to watch an ad. Very deceptive.

This is a fun game with some notable differences from the original, but excellent bite-size chunks for a quick distraction every now and then. Unfortunately, too much of the game has become a cash grab. Between an energy system for playing, multiple loot box type possibilities, and a complete lack of substantive updates - it seems that all the developers care about is milking people for money. The final straw was one that had been free since the game came out is now hidden behind a mandatory ad watch. Despicable. Save your time and do not download this game.

I have been playing Lemmings on android for years. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! I finally decided to come back to Apple and was disappointed when I could not sync my android Lemmings with my new iPhone. This is where the Support team at SadPuppy went above and beyond. They were not able to copy everything directly over but they were able to help me migrate most of my lemmings and settings to the new phone and sync it with the cloud. This took many hours and emails. All through this they were courteous and patient. So yes, Lemmings the game is 5 stars but the support team should get 10

I went from an iPhone XR Max to an iPhone 12 Pro for thanksgiving and now the game refuses to load. I can download play for a bit but once I stop playing for 20 minutes it shuts down and won’t reload. Really disappointed as it is a fun game.

I love the game but slowly getting bored of it since I’ve been waiting for new levels for what seems to be forever. They just have me repeating levels non stop and it’s burning me out. Please update and create new levels soon!

Firstly, you shouldn’t ask for a review before you place ads that come up after every level. I love the game and it reminds me a lot of the childhood computer version I played. The ads will be the reason I stop playing the game. They come after every level. I’m also not going to pay for it to play monthly. I would’ve paid even a larger one time fee but the monthly fee is excessive.

Game is great but it features some of the most obnoxious and aggressive forced ad placement and viewing outside of free .io games. It ruins the game. Terrible.

Daily spin is not daily, can be up to every other day depending on when you spin, example, spun at 8:30pm on Tue., have to wait until Thur. 12:01am for next spin. Ads are constant, and repetitive. Greed by Devs have me saying so long, you do not listen to us players and so why should we patronize your game?

Multiple ways to solve the puzzles which is great. My only (minor) irritation is that lemmings are small on the iPad and I have fat fingers. It’s also vertical which gets in the way of playing while I’m charging. A solid winner!

Love Lemmings...... Hate....HATE how you slam ad on top of ad with each and every turn at playing. At this point it is not worth a crying dime, no, it is in fact not worth one red cent nor the time to continue playing. Greed is the only thing you know.

There are about three minutes of play for every two minutes of in-your-face ads. Game is fun and addicting... when you’re not waiting out ads.

i can’t take it anymore. obviously $7 for 2hrs is insane when i can many games for $0-$1 and get more than 2hrs out of them. i watched a million ads and started games/quit in hopes of getting a “need 10 more energy?” i always run out at a crucial moment so i pause and quit and 40% of the time the game resets and i lose all my progress. as the levels get harder you use a lot more but can still only hold 60, some levels take ~30, it’s ridiculous.

I really enjoy trying to solve all of the puzzles and advancing through the game. But once you get through all of the levels, game play stops. I wish we could revisit earlier levels to keep playing while we wait for (hopefully) new levels of the game.

This really is an entertaining game, but there are just a couple tweaks needed and glitches that need to be fixed that keep it from being a 5 star game. 1) Hints. There are times (especially at the more advanced levels) where you just get stuck. Usually I only get stuck on a level for maybe an hour at most, but lately there have been levels that took me days to complete. There needs to be an option to get hints or something to help you get to the next level. 2) Lost prizes/bonuses. SOOO many times, I’ll click to get a bonus spin or to get the extra energy or lemmings, but instead of it bringing up the ad to receive the reward, the pop up just disappears and I miss it. It’s particularly frustrating when you’re low on energy and really need that extra 10 to play the next level. There are even times when I finish a level and it doesn’t even give me the option to watch an ad for a free spin. It’s grayed out, and the only option is “Lose spin”. I’ve reached out about this, but got no reply. If these were addressed, it would definitely be a 5 star game.

This game is so riddled with micro transactions and advertisements that it’s ridiculous. I played the original back on the Amiga years ago. We are all missing out on that kind of fun experience. A sad puppy indeed.

I love this game and play it daily but it’s buggy too often. I can stop a lemming on a staircase under a falling rock and the first three rocks will not kill my lemming, but the 4th will. Why? There are times where I’ve witnessed the stairs being built in the wrong direction compared to the direction I selected, but the block where the stairs should have been built is blocked and I cannot build stairs in the correct direction. Countless times I’ve put a blocker in place, and it will flash like the lemming is going to stop, but instead it just keeps walking and steals my energy. Otherwise great game!

Ads everywhere and they make it impossible to succeed without spending money. They have the rocket ship for bonuses. You used to have to beat 25 boards to win, well they changed the requirements for the rocket ship to 30 boards. I lost interest before because the leader board contest was unattainable. When they created the rocket ship, I was excited and enjoying the game once again but now it’s so frustrating. It was hard enough for me to complete 25 boards a day without using nearly all of my power ups let alone find the time during the day since I have to work... When am I going to have the time to beat 30 boards a day within the energy constraints? This just shows the game/company is money hungry. They force people to buy extra power ups or go VIP and that’s not right. I use this game as an escape during this pandemic and they make me feel like the only way I can succeed is to pay for VIP or play it every waking hour... it’s sad and disheartening. They show us rewards that we want while making it impossible to succeed. This is not a fun gaming experience. If this game keeps going in this money hungry direction I’ll just have to find other games to occupy my time.

This game is fun when it works properly. Unfortunately, after launching the game for the first time and playing with no issues, the game fails to launch again when I come back to play it the next day. This bug occurs on both my IPad Pro(2020) and my IPhone 12, but deleting and reinstalling the game does not fix the problem

Now they screwed it up like every game eventually goes with endless pop ups of buy this or buy that. 6 pop ups when I just opened it. You all are screwing it up.

All they want you to do is buy power ups. Once in a while would be ok, but two or three every time you are not playing? Greedy much?

The gameplay feels familiar, but the experience just feels off... and there is a very simple, plainly obvious reason why. The original Lemmings was an incredible game not just because it was a clever puzzle-solver, but because it was a truly *visceral* experience. The Lemmings marched in time to ethereal, melodic music that gave it a rhythmic, otherworldly vibe. The music made it a video game experience literally unlike any other I’d had before or have had since. It was enthralling, and I still love revisiting the tunes from the original game’s soundtrack. After acquiring the rights to Lemmings, Sony released PSP and PS3 games that retained the basic gameplay but totally failed to recognize the central role that music played in the Lemmings experience. They had nothing but indistinct, ordinary background music that you’d find in any run-of-the-mill platformer. Sadly, this iOS game is every bit as much of a letdown. It’s enjoyable enough to play through the levels as a distraction, but it’s just not the same experience. It’s more of the same bland, uninspired music that the developers clearly placed zero emphasis on. It’s so, so disappointing. Nothing hammers this home more than pondering what Koji Kondo would have done with Lemmings if Nintendo had acquired the property instead of Sony. (Sigh) Hopefully Sony comes to recognize the importance of music in the overall Lemmings experience. If they don’t, they should sell the property to a game developer who does. Otherwise, we’ll keep receiving one disappointment after another.
